Def: 2 prems, 3 mids, 4 rooks,

Mid: 3 prems, 3 mids, 3 rooks

Ruck: 1prem, 1mid, 2 rooks

Fwd: 4 prems, 2mids, 3 rooks

total 10 prem, 9mids, 12 rooks

$450,900 cash left

Wondering what others opinions are on the level of risk in my team. I could add a prem easily to the line up but have gone with a number of cheaper mid price players as a bit of a gamble but may have too many, thoughts?

Why what is the plan?

That cash should all be spent unless you have a plan for it?

On a scale of risk 1-10 1 being safe 10 being risky i would say 7

mid priced starting ruck is a risk, FWD and DEF are ok, mids are ok - thats from a scoring point of view. i mean it would all be better with ppremiums instead of mid pricers as premiums score more.

the otehr side of it is so few premiums so many mid pricers is one risk, BUT also 2 or 3 less rooks than most teams, which are where you make your money, and you will need a lot to upgrade if any let alone a few or all of your mid pricers fail.

But still could win you the loot, you need a certain amount of risk i think and the balls to actually take the risks, but this is high risk no question.

Well for starters you have an extra player in your team (midfield), so its pretty risky that VS wont find that out eventually  ;)

GoLions

i think u may need 1 extra premium in your midfield instead of a midpriced player. a bit too risky having 3 midpriced players in your midfield imo

still tossing up with a few things so will likely use some of it, however if i stay close to current structure having the left over cash will be just what i will need should some options not work out so great. In the ruck i am looking at two prems  but cant pick between burger and jacobs, like them both but they share a by with giles who i also have

there is a reason we go premiums rookies , its the best option most times , why have medium priced players that yes will score 80-90n if you lucky ,  but will need upgrading and wont make you the money that a 100k rookie averaging 70 will

put as many premiums as you can in maybe one mid per position especially a fallen premium like hayes that is whhere you should risk , grimes risk but reward factor etc

the idea of the game is to have the best players in your side come years end , at the moment my side has about 6 positions that need upgrading most likely yours will have possibly 11

Crows84

it seems all i have done each night since dt opened has been tinker with my team. i now i have Def 3-2-4, Mid 4-1-3, Ruck 2-0-2, FWD 4-1-4, how does this fair in the risk stakes? If the team stays as is i will get for donuts r11, 1 in r12 and  in r13

egosbar

much better , if you post your side we can have a better look

tip stop tinkering until nab time now

getting the right mid priced who turns into a keeper is what separates the good from the very good teams

egosbar

exactly right mate but not nine mids as stated in the original first post , one mid price in each position if you get them right they can be keepers

i have 3 mids rest are guns rookies , nine mids is not a winning formula i dont think

Can you name your team? Cause who are considering mid price in mids? Like morabito or something?
