Few Surprises there
Exciting times though with all the young guys
Good to see VB, Porps and Rutten get up
Didn’t see Thompson coming, but was apparently injured at training
Walker, Cook, Petrenko, Dangerfield, Otten, Hentschel all into the team from last year
Wonder who we are going to have tag with no Shirley

maybe we plan to not tag any of the mids, none of collingwoods mids r that damaging. i think we got to look out for their small forwards

troy i doubt cook will take it for long. shirley is a very good tagger for us and i would be very amazed/shocked if cook took his spot

shirley must come in. adelaide are going to get smashed this week. have a look at how unexperienced that midfield is, and collingwood will run all over them they are in good form, and i cant see adelaide getting close with that side. Shirley has proved he is one of the best taggers in the league time and time again.

And Shirley is 29 soon enough and not getting any faster, his record is good against Judd for some reason but not so against some others. Happy to see the young guys get a run and yes we might get ‘smashed’ but we might just surprise a few too.

your a joke micabre, shirley has over 130 games of experience and hes trying too many youngsters at once. simon goodwin said we’l be at top 8 side this year. well hes wrong cos if neil craigs puttin that team on the park every week were going to be bottom 4 material. Although shirley is 28 he is still one of the fittest in the team and gives us that edge in and under with hard ball gets and tackles. you like many underrate him severely

Suprised we didn’t recognize that Swan has killed us just about every time we’ve played them but there’s nothing wrong with rewarding Cooky for his great PS form. I’d have Shirley in over Danger but I’m not exactly condemning Craigy like you boys. He’ll be back in when we play the real gun mids.

I didnt see Shirley’s name in the Eagles squad( his SANFL team) unlike the other Crows/Power players who didnt make the cut, must have been a last minute thing, maybe there is a fitness issue for this week with him?
