Guelfi tries a quick snap from general play but misses the lot (Q1 1:34)
Redman coughs up the ball in defence which sees Gryan Miers slide his way through the opposition and snap through the first goal of the evening! Goalaso! (Q1 5:33)
Stengle adds a second goal as Geelong get repeat inside 50’s, he straightens up and snaps from 35m out! (Q1 7:33)
Smith goes for glory from range, but the ball bounces through for a behind (Q1 12:15)
Ollie Henry, Miers and Close combine up forward as Close finds space to snap for goal, and screws the low ball through! (Q1 13:32)
Essendon fumble in defence and allow Geelong time to just set up another goal for Close! (Q1 16:36)
Dangerfield marks 45m out and with unusual precision, slots the goal to continue the pain for Essendon early! (Q1 18:16)
Merrett tries to lift his side with an attempt at goal but can only manage a behind (Q1 18:16)

Smith kicks deep inside 50 to Hawkins in the square, and the big Hawk is just too strong in the contest. He marks and goals! (Q2 10:11)
Hawkins beats out Zerk-Thatcher again just inside 50 and lines up the set shot from the flank. The kick drops to the right for a point (Q2 21:26)
The smalls combine for Geelong as Close gathers cleanly and gives off to Stengle who jogs into the square and pokes it through (Q2 25:43)
Peter Wright collects the ball at ground level and snaps through a huge goal for the Bombers to cut the margin back to 49! (Q2 27:47)

Another inside 50, another Hawkins lead as he marks 45m out along the boundary. He aces the kick for goal number 5! (Q4 8:22)
Blicavs slots a neat goal as the Cats look to push this lead to 100 (Q4 11:10)
Menzie snaps towards the square and Bryan is able to leap and mark. He pops it through for some late joy for the Bombers (Q4 14:45)
Essendon pick their way through Geelong as the game opens up a bit now at the end. Langford marks, and converts, as the Bombers try to salvage some percentage from tonight (Q4 17:35)
Cameron finally gets his name on the goal-scorers list with a nice finish deep in junk time (Q4 22:05)
Guelfi skies a snap at goal that finds its way through the big sticks (Q4 24:25)
