Lyon refused to give youngsters a grounding at the Saints, did the same at freo, reason probably (most likely in my opinion) wanted a premiership for his Resume as quickly as possible and inherited to sides that were capable, whereas sides like geelong still groomed the youngsters, its his fault and his alone that both the Saints and Dockers slipped so badly so quickly.
