Monty,
Great Team just a few problems in my opinion.
1. Where’s Josh Toy?
2. Not sure about Rhys Stanley
3. Drew Petrie trade for Ryan Gamble though Gamble had a great pre-season
4. Jeremy Laidler…No trade him out for a rookie like Nicholas Duigan, Paul Puopolo or Ben Jacobs
I made a few changes to your team they are in Caps.
Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Corey Enright, Cameron Bruce, Brett Deledio,NICHOLAS DUIGAN , Andy Otten
Dyson Heppell (e), JOSH TOY, Danny Stanley
Dane Swan (c), Leigh Montagna (vc), Jimmy Bartel, Nathan Foley, Andrew Krakouer, Rohan Bewick
Michael Hibberd (e), David Swallow, Daniel Harris
Dean Cox, Aaron Sandilands
Zac Smith, BROC MCCAULEY
Lance Franklin, Nick Riewoldt, Steve Johnson, MICHAEL HURLEY, DION PRESTIA, Jack Darling, Cameron Richardson
RYAN GAMBLE, Brandon Matera, Charlie Dixon

Whats your theory on how stacked your backline is Monty? I reckon there is plenty of money in the back rooks this year and you are not staring any?
Lower, Duigan are cash cows ready to ride!!(not so convinced on Toy)

This can’t be your team m0nty. There are some huge gaps and you’ve not really taken into account the multi-byes rounds and finals.

I’d need to hear justification for no Lower, especially as you have neither Broughton nor Duffield in your backs!
Rhys Stanley is an interesting and very unique bench guy who’s not in my team currently but who I’ll consider if it looks from the selections like he is not going to make way when Kosi returns. Still, you’d assume he won’t survive the return of both Kosi and Gardiner unless he really rips it up, Lyon seems to be very very reluctant to drop Kosi.

Looks good Monty, definetly some interesting calls with your rookies, may have missed out on some $$$ in your backline.
Forward line should remain solid for a while leaving you able to focus early trades in the mid and back which may be your strategy.

Backs look fine except I’m not convinced about both of those suns players giving as much value as other available options. And you would have been aware Craig declared Otten the ideal Sub player before posting this team so that is a risk too.
Mids well Hibberd did not get a berth but you would not have known that, surprised you have Kraks there when you can have him in the fwd line and get midfield scores (and you need them in your fwd line) Also Harris has an injury as I understand it and this has been known for a while (he still may play).
Rucks are standard
Fwd line is average. Taking a risk of a late withdrawal and getting a doughnut. Three rookies on field could make it a big struggle to get enough pts in the fwd line. Petrie is interesting one. You are willing to give up the chance to have a player who has 4 weeks worth of scores and the price increase to boot for the cost of one trade. There will no doubt be a heap of coaches who will be able to straight swap a rookie for Petrie after rd 4 if they want and get him for the same price you paid. Don’t get that at all monty.
I hope yopu intend to start slow and come home hard monty because you are going to be starting a long way behind a few other teams early on.

monty exteam is still not working properly. puts players in incorrect positions and seems to not account for extra bench players this year. also any menu pop ups below the log in feature appear behind the advertisment that is there. please fix as you dont really seem to do much with this site anymore

Well this is the biggest FAIL ive ever seen. Monty clearly has no clue and is just playing for the league win. Last year he was so keen on picking ‘uniques’, this year he has tried picking a generic team and has fked up miserably.
GL2U Monty..

You got rid of Harris?? What is wrong with you? Have you given any consideration to the Freo/Geel/Haw bye? Your backline will be in trouble.
