Steven – I wouldn’t be trading houlihan just yet. I think its best to hold off another couple of weeks. If he starts playing again he will score well.
I would trade Dempsey for Grimes. If Petrenko gets more game time he can raise in price. Dempsey wont.
As for Skipworth, I agree with heater. If you have kept him for this long, I would hold off anohter week. He will still rise in value when he comes back

@vrle – it is tough to decide do you go with cheap players for cash cows – ie grimes and sidebottom to bubble next week or do you stick with players that are still rising, not playing or about to come back…..
ie Petrenko, Houhilan / skipworth !
Dempsey has to go as he is shit ! a friend who goes for essendon talked me into buying him !
Grimes/ Gilbee/ Sidebottom or Hooker…..

I went to do the trade I’ve been salivating about all week. Moss – Cooney. Then I noticed a bloke by the name of K Cornes not much higher in price and he is a known premium.
I am talking supercoach and Cornes and Cooney have both pretty much bottomed out.
A sprained AC joint doesn’t sound like something you would risk no matter how you were feeling about it.
Cornes also hasn’t been doing that great this year and is never as good in SC as he is in DT. But he is still a keeper one of the bes tmost consistent players going around. A proven champion player.
But I also like Cooney. On top of liking the bloke in the media (he’s good on the footy show) I like the way he plays. Super fast and super skilled. His SC is always 10-20 better than his DT. But he doesn’t have the consistency that Cornes has.
What Cooney does have is more upside, he’s been down on form with his knee and is starting to look good.
My head is saying K Cornes but my heart is saying A Cooney.
Anyone wanting to share an opinion I’ll be happy to hear it 🙂

Speaking of, best Mid under $440?
Jorey looks the best this week, but as a season long decision?

Rocca is no longer in Collingwood’s best 142. Watched him on Monday. So sad to see the big man get towelled up by a spaz like Zaccy D. Get ye to the NFL!

S Goodwin and T Walker very unlikley to Play.
R Shirley will replace Goodwin (Has a 2 day old Baby and has been asked to travel to Bris)
Mitch Brown is 50/50 so be careful with your forward emergencies especially with Missy Higgins also very unlikley.
Rance to Grimes is a no brainer
Cooney over K Cornes everyday

Copping a zero this week due to keeping Hodge and no Houlihan. Agree hodge will be better for the rest, I picked him up cheap, so no need to cash him in.
Higgins a strange one….If he is to have a late fitness test, why not put him in the starting lineup with an emergency named ? Guess it’s better for us to see him as an emg, therefore likely to not play.

Hey boys – when you’re discussing whether Mitch Brown will play, you MAY want to mention what team you’re talking… From memory, i think there are 3 Mitch Browns in the comp.
I have WCE Brown in my forward line, and he’s listed in the starting 22, so he’s a def starter…

Frank: Cooney is about 100k less than Gibbs, he’s cheap-as due to playing injured for several weeks before taking two weeks out to heal. But his price will start rising again from this week.
Urk, just realised that downgrading Schoenmakers to Broughton misses getting me the cash for Moss-Cooney by less than 5k. Geez. That tears things. If I want to upgrade Moss without doing the Grimes trade, I need to turf Garlett or Jacobs (I’d prefer not to turf Beams).

Monty: ‘Round 8 Betting’ segment is very poor form. I understand the need to make a bit of coin from your site but a sell out of such magnitude is disgraceful. FanFooty is frequented by under-age kids and to have such a prominent piece of gambling propaganda encourages a destructive pass time to those too young to know any better. Gambling ruins lives and wrecks families. PULL YOUR HEAD IN!!!

mitch, go Hodge to Grimes if you’re doing the big cash grab, cheaper and has more price improvement in him. probably. Higgins to Pav is not bad if you don’t think Higgins is a keeper.
I ended up just sucking up my backline donut (and may do it again next week, if Bock doesn’t return), and doing Jacobs-Pyke and Moss-Cooney. Once Hodge and Bock return I have 7 keeper backs and Hill on the bench, the last thing I need is to mess that up by changing Hodge for Grimes.
I really only need to upgrade Whitecross, Rich and the 7th fwd slot (Warren/Brown) and I’m set now. Salivating over the upcoming price drops for Salopek and Didak when they return from injury….
