Fisher is caught high 25m out in front, and he splits the middle to get the Blues on the board! (Q1 9:48)
Curnow gets on the lead and marks easily 40m out on a slight angle, he kicks truly and the Blues get away early! (Q1 9:55)
Curnow gets another shot from near enough 50m out, but it slides to the left

McKay gets separation from his opponent to mark a Walsh entry inside 50. The spearheads going large early as the Blues kick another (Q1 9:55)
And we’re back up to speed! (Q1 10:14)
The umpire spots a free kick on McKay and as such he lines up from 40m out on a slight angle. As usual he opts for a run-around kick, but gets it all wrong for a behind (Q1 14:33)
Kennedy runs down Jones in the middle of the ground, and the Blues punish him severely, Curnow popping a kick out the back to Durdin who runs into an open goal! (Q1 16:43)
Durdin relentlessly chases a ball along the boundary and somehow gets a kick off to Motlop who marks 35m out on the 45. His kick is too narrow though for a minor score (Q1 20:34)
The Eagles turn it over again, Durdin scoops up the loose ball and chips it in front of Newnes who runs onto it, but Edwards is there to save the goal and it’s rushed through (Q1 23:18)
Docherty receives the ball and smacks it high inside 50 where Curnow is too strong and marks 30m out on a slight angle. He splits the middle as the Blues pile it on (Q1 25:18)
Curnow gets a handball away under pressure to Durdin who spins and snaps a behind (Q2 0:49)
De Koning tries a sneaky kick from the pocket but it doesn’t make it and bounces into the post eventually (Q2 1:43)

Silvangi pops a ball to the square, Barrass takes out Hough and the ball spills to ground where McKay can just toe poke it through. Comical. (Q2 6:12)
Gaff kicks to the pack and the ball gets out the back where there’s three Eagles players. Foley is the one who scoops it up and grubbers it home! (Q2 7:07)
Walsh catches Waterman high 40m out on the 45, he guides it through as the Eagles have finally shown up to the game! (Q2 10:47)
There’s a Carlton free kick in the middle of the ground and after some confusion advantage is paid resulting in Curnow lining up from 35m out. He puts it through for his third! (Q2 12:18)
Redden gets a HTB free and chips to Kennedy 35m out on the boundary. He starts it right and it swings back left to perfection! Brilliant goal! (Q2 14:48)
Rioli bursts from a stoppage on the half forward flank, tosses it on the outside of the boot from 50m and Darling is able to shepherd it through for a great goal! (Q2 19:48)
Foley dumps it to the pack, and it spills to ground where Kennedy is able to dodge and weave, slamming through a goal… But Weitering managed to get a finger on it (Q2 21:11)
Fisher keeps it alive on the wing and dumps it to half forward, where it spills off the contest in front of the crafty Durdin, who sprints into an open goal and blasts it! (Q2 22:28)
Newman and Rioli wrestle as Newman desperately tries to take it over, and eventually he does after bouncing off the post (Q2 23:30)
Kelly kicks it inside 50 and Darling is able to get separation on Weitering to take an easy mark 40m out on an angle. He starts it right, and it stays that way for a behind (Q2 25:05)
Kelly chips a very, very short kick to Williams on the top of the square. He pops it through, but maybe the umpires should’ve gone to Specsavers? (Q2 26:48)
The umpires pluck a 50 from… somewhere, allowing Newnes to kick to Walsh who marks 45m out on the 45. Unfortunately he can’t convert, as his kick slides to the left (Q2 28:44)
Foley sends it inside 50 to the advantage of Waterman who marks 40m out on a slight angle. He puts it through as the Eagles claw back that gap! (Q2 30:48)
Cripps spies Curnow on a lead and kicks to him, Curnow marking 35m out, but his kick was never online (Q3 2:14)
Ryan and Jones link up, Jones takes a running shot from about 45m out, but it bounces on the wrong side of the post (Q3 4:13)
Kelly tries his luck this time, but he wastes the chance for another behind (Q3 5:02)
Edwards is pinged for deliberate about 35m out, Curnow the beneficiary. It’s not an easy kick, but you wouldn’t know by watching Curnow. He has four! (Q3 6:02)
West Coast get the break from a silly Curnow HTB, they stream through the middle of the ground, Jones kicks to Kennedy and he marks 25m out in front. He kicks, he goals! 700!!! (Q3 7:42)
Fisher is caught high on the 50, he loads up and gives it everything, but it’s off target and sails through for a point (Q3 11:16)
Newnes smashes a ball inside 50 and Curnow marks impressively on the 50. He steadies himself and goes long from range, slotting his fitfh! (Q3 24:08)
McKay rips it from a forward throw-in and tosses it onto the boot, but it flies high and wide, eventually rushed through (Q3 25:45)
Cripps outmuscles Kelly to mark and kick to McKay 35m out on the flank. McKay readies himself before running around and snapping a goal! (Q4 2:48)
McKay gets a free kick for holding 25m out, he goes through his routine and snaps through another goal! (Q4 5:03)
Cripps pushes through the traffic and tries his hand at a checkside on the run from 35m out, but misses the lot (Q4 7:51)
O’Brien kicks a high one inside 50 and Cottrell marks 45m out in front. He loads up and kicks it beautifully as the Blues streak away in the last (Q4 10:19)
Docherty sends a long one inside 50 and Cripps is there to mark 45m out on a slight angle. The maligned skipper stands tall and puts through a very nice goal (Q4 12:49)
Silvagni runs into space and chips it up to McKay perfectly on the lead 40m out on the flank. He goes for the drop punt this time, but it stays to the left (Q4 14:49)
Kennedy pumps it inside 50 and it spills off hands. It rolls around until Durdin taps it out to Walsh who gets a snap off under pressure and goals! (Q4 19:19)
Jones is pinged for a high tackle on Fisher, he’s not happy and has some words which the umpire doesn’t appreciate and thus, 50. Fisher converts to add to the misery (Q4 24:04)
Kennedy spanks it inside 50 to the square, it spills from the contest and the crumber is the unlikely McKay who runs into goal to add his third for the quarter (Q4 26:14)
Hayes kicks to McKay who marks on the half forward flank, he goes the drop punt, but he can’t sneak it in for number 6 (Q4 28:05)
Hayes lines up from the 50, he gives it everything, but it’s not quite enough and it’s punched through (Q4 29:50)
