NEWS: Clifton is a mature aged recruit. In 2010 before being drafted at pick #1 in the Rookie Draft by Greater Western Sydney, he played for the North Ballarat Roosters and was awarded the VFL best and fairest and North Ballarat's best and fairest award. Just last year it was the same circumstance where Andrew Krakouer won the Best & Fairest in the WAFL. Also add that Nick Lower was similar in the SANFL coming Second in the Best & Fairest for the league. They both went on to be tremendous cash cows in 2011. We think it could be the same for Clifton. The issue is that places in the best 22 are tough. He could certainly be playing Round 1. Sheedy has guaranteed the midfielder will get an opportunity in 2012. Cash Cow Potential: Certainly on the radar. He seems right on the fringe of the Best 22. Sub Vest area. | This is a 2012 outlook article. | |||
