Injured Hird breaks finger - Thu 21/7, 11:30PM
NEWS: James Hird came off the ground with one of his fingers sticking out at right angles in round 15 against the Tigers, but he came back on soon after getting it refitted and played out the game. His form was down with 12 touches and four tackles being his return, not surprising because the injury turned out to be a broken bone that will put him out for one to two weeks. ANALYSIS: Hird has had two poor performances in a row, after stringing four very good ones together before that. Any benefit he might have got from resting during the bye week will have been used up by now, particularly with this annoying injury which will no doubt swell up after the game.
