Gradually, Nathan Freeman built fitness and form in the VFL in his fourth listed season until three months in when he collected 37 touches and nine tackles against Werribee. Two games later, he had an ankle caught under a tackler and spent yet another off season in injury rehab, something he has done too often with hamstring complaints.Early reports from preseason were that Freeman would not be hampered in the 2018 preseason, which is an excellent sign for him to have a Daniel Menzel-style late arrival into the seniors. Picking him in a fantasy draft would be courageous, nonetheless, and even if he tears the JLT apart the risk is large enough to leave him as a flier pick. -
