Late to mature and relatively unheard of outside of his home state to the midway point of his draft year, South Australian native Will Day rose to prominence through the SANFL under 18s where he averaged 26 touches and eight marks.The slightly-built Day will require bulk to his gangling frame before regularly competing in the primary competition. A player in the mould of the departed Grant Birchall, coach Alastair Clarkson will be hopeful of a speedy maturation. Perhaps a prospect for twelve months' time. -
