Injuries to older players opened the door for young ruckman Scott Jones to try his hand at the top level last season. He spent two matches as Fremantle’s first ruck and the other three as as a forward offering ruck support. The big man averaged 12 hit outs, seven disposals and three marks in his debut campaign.Jones offers depth to the Fremantle ruck division, but starts far behind the likes of Aaron Sandilands and Sean Darcy for selection. He’ll also be battling with Lloyd Meek in the event that Ross Lyon’s preferred two are unavailable. Even if Jones does get the call up at some stage, there are a plethora of better options for a spot of fantasy coaches’ benches. -
