After attempts to turn Patrick Naish into a half back during 2018, Richmond decided to shift him up the the ground to his more natural position of forward-running midfield and were rewarded with an excellent VFL campaign, going at rates of 23 touches and 86 fantasy points including four fantasy tons. He was picked for two senior games mid-year, for respectable returns of 20 and 19 disposals. His stat sheet tends far more towards marks than tackles, with the odd goal as well.Naish seems to be the perfect replacement for the departed Brandon Ellis, so much so that he stands to be criticised for one-way running in the same way that Tiger fans used to chip Ellis. He is going to be very popular in salary cap formats if picked for round 1, though his job security is questionable with Kamdyn McIntosh offering more defensively and Marlion Pickett in the mix for best 22. He should be drafted late on upside, though you could drop him early if the Tigers do. -
