TAGS (life club position role style health) (FF #2031) 2020 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 1 Feb 2020) Cojones to pick Nones
On the brink of his 300th senior appearance, Nathan Jones has suffered the fate of many older inside mids: being shifted out to the edges to allow younger models to crack in at the contest. He recorded a decade low in disposal and tackle averages in this new role rotating off a half back flank.Jones is well and truly past the much vaunted 30-year barrier and expect him to decline further in 2020. A club leader and a dominant fantasy player in his pomp, BAC eligibility is the only thing keeping him fantasy-relevant, and even in that role he has downside potential as time wears him down. -

PLAYER DISCUSSION • Looks like I might have made that call 12 months too early. He went from an avg of 66 to 86, then backed up with 88 last year. SC scores even better. No reason he couldn't lift the average by another 10 ppg this year. - Scratchy - 141 months ago • @duhwinning you Must be a Goose and know very little about footy coz jones has been super in a Poor team copping a tag every week and getting good numbers. Opposition coaches rate him highly to tag him you must just a muppet that goes off sc and dt numbers - smithy3 - 147 months ago • Scratchy is a politician. - GJayBee - 147 months ago • @Scratchy LMAO! How wrong you were..on all counts! - DuhWinning - 151 months ago • This guy is a timebomb. Expect him to explode this year. At 22, in this his 5th season, he is a senior member of Melbourne's young up-and-coming midfield and don't forget many stars before him took til they were 21 or 22 to really flourish. Check out Ablett's first 5 seasons. With the improvements Melbourne should see this year overall plus their recent high draft picks his game will go to the next level. - Scratchy - 177 months ago • wishes he was matt priddis - dogs_coke - 184 months ago • lol not many 21 year olds have their best footy behind them unfortunately this spud is an exception to the rule - cptnfntsy - 184 months ago • used to start on the ball now starts on the bench soon will be starting on the doll - supacoach - 184 months ago • the bloke just turned 21....classic case of kid/spud in a mans/potato body - supacoach - 184 months ago
