TAGS (life club position role style health) (FF #39650) 2019 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 17 Jan 2019) Smash glass in case of Lobbe
Brought across from Port to cover for Matthew Kreuzer's always-impending injuries, Matthew Lobbe was not called upon for four Krooze-less games due to a preseason hampered by quad and hamstring injuries. He made his debut for Carlton in round 18 and played out the season in workmanlike style, without claiming a decent scalp in ruck.Kreuzer isn't getting any younger but then again neither is Lobbe, as the ex-Power ruckman is 90 days older. He is most definitely second on the depth chart, as Andrew Phillips at the age of 27 has never shown the ability to step up to the top level. There is a strong case to be made to draft Lobbe as a handcuff for the brittle Kreuzer. Otherwise, avoid. -

PLAYER DISCUSSION • please don't Rayza, as i'm having him - m-ry - 131 months ago • Seriously considering this man for the 2014 season. - Rayza - 132 months ago • Will be the most traded in player this year! - fivestarmd - 161 months ago • With Brogan about to retire and port sitting down below, It's time to look to the Kids to put some miles in the legs and towards 2012. so JUMP ON NOW for your 3rd ruck option. - dobs - 161 months ago • had shoulder dislocation. should be back in round 6. - masterdead - 165 months ago • not in the ruck though? - SC ADDICT - 175 months ago • Potential downgrade target this bloke in 3 rounds. If he can get a game. Yeah boi! - DiddyKR - 175 months ago • Lobbe will be second ruckman in rotation with the hoff. - numberwang - 177 months ago • Yeah. Him, Trengrove, Cloke and Redden all have shots at the number 2 spot but lobbe looks to be in the lead. Trengrove will likely slot into the backs for them while redden will need another year or 2 to get AFL ready. Fantasy wise could be a good bench option if he plays. - Hellopplz - 178 months ago • So is Lobbe any contention of being 2nd Ruck at the Power? - Danny_Bhoy - 178 months ago
