A move to from key forward to midfield in the second half of his third season in the WAFL unlocked a lot of Matthew Allen's potential, with four trips above 20 disposals in his last seven outings at a fantasy rate of 80. He ended up joint winner of the reserves best & fairest.Allen is well overdue for a shot at the seniors, though his charge came at the wrong time for a side enjoying a nice injury run on the way to the flag. Perhaps another slow start by Josh J. Kennedy will give him a chance. It would be too risky to draft him even if he is picked for round 1, though. -
