A pectoral injury in round 1 then a cheekbone break in the SANFL ruined Matt White's 2016. On his return, he will be grateful for the canning of the substitute system as he wore a fair few vests in his time. He has not reached 20 disposals in a game since round 7 of 2014, a full 35 games ago.At the end of his comeback, White will face a Port side with a bit of competition for his roles. Matthew Broadbent and Sam Gray occupy the wings, with Angus Monfries and Karl Amon on the HFFs. The ex-Tiger could conceivably knock off Amon if he can return to his 2014 form. He is worth only a late flier. -

PLAYER DISCUSSION • i'm aware that he is a HUGELY risky smokie, but the only hurdle to him not increasing his average to at least 70-75 or so has been his lack of a big tank, which he has worked on a lot this preseason, e.g. getting the fastest time around the tan in training. if he gets a better fitness base he should get more game time - more midfield time - get rid of those 30-50 games that ruin his average. - duffman580 - 164 months ago
