If Lee Spurr developed an itch during Fremantle's games in 2017, he rarely had time to scratch it. He was matched up on a succession of small forwards who enjoyed plenty of supply, and lowered his colours on multiple occasions. Half of his games produced scores below baseline for fantasy backs.Missing most of the post-bye period with calf problems was a signifier that Spurr may be getting too old for this team, as Ross Lyon has to look at youngsters coming through. Then again, Freo didn't draft any defenders and there's only Ryan Nyhuis behind him on the depth chart in his specialist position. His upside seems nil, though. -
