For the past two years Josh J. Kennedy has struggled in preseason recovering from injury, and in 2019 he never fully got up to speed in booting a measly (for him) 44.27 from 20 appearances. His goal tally went past two only twice in his last ten matches through September, a far cry from an average of over three for the previous five campaigns. As he has grown older, his lack of chase has become more apparent with a tackle count below two for a while now.Theoretically, Kennedy has bounce back potential of thirty points or more if he can get his body right. His age is working against him, and given he is out of contract at the end of the year there is every chance that the club will want to set up a plan for his retirement, which means centring their attacking plans on someone else... like Jack Darling. Gone are the days when a paddock would be cleared for him to lead into. He'll struggle on, probably mouldering away on someone's bench in your league. -
