    No claret yet for Barrett
    Coming to the Lions as a mature-aged recruit from GWS with a history of inside ball-winning, Jake Barrett resumed his AFL career as a pressure forward in the eventual spoon team with the worst inside 50 count in the league. This was not a recipe for instant personal success. His highlights were 22 touches in the big win over Fremantle and three goals in the big win over the Suns.
    Barrett was sometimes confused by commentators with Tom Rockliff, and it is that comparison where his fantasy value lies. Now that Rocky has gone south there are more rotations to the centre to be had, and Barrett could play that mid/forward role. This would lift his ceiling somewhat, though let's not get too excited because Hugh McCluggage and Ben Keays need more mid time too. Worth a flier.
