TAGS (life club position role style health) (FF #44055) 2019 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 13 Mar 2019) Good, hard look at Mirra
Following the best part of ten years as a Box Hill Hawk, David Mirra finally managed a match at the highest level in 2018. He kept Jesse Hogan goalless on debut, although was used on shorter opponents thereafter. He performed strongly as an interceptor and spoiler, recording five and a half intercept possessions per outing. Mirra struggled to pressure opponents, posting below average tackles and pressure acts.David Mirra was used as a dependable backup option for the previous season and it would be reasonable to assume business will resume in much the same manner. He is positioned well behind in the pecking order for the key posts, while he struggles to affect the contest at ground level ruling him undesirable against traditional forward pockets. A defence-minded player, Mirra is not for fantasy. -
