For the first time in his senior career, Cyril Rioli failed to reach double-digit appearances as he recovered from a PCL tear sustained in round 8. He struggled with form throughout the early period of the season as the Hawks were largely noncompetitive, leading to the lowest goal per game average in his career. After successful surgery, the 2015 Norm Smith medallist should hit the ground running to prove that was an outlier after several seasons of high quality production. Given his statistical track record the Hawk would be a worthwhile selection in middle rounds, as he has strong bounce back potential. -

TRIBUNAL HISTORY (since 2001) Year Round Charge (level) Victim Result Verdict Points 2009 R17 Umpire contact Early plea $1950 fine -
PLAYER DISCUSSION • stay in the forward line from now on hamstring man - Holzman - 126 months ago • suspended for round 1 who is still picking him? - mitchcox21 - 128 months ago • Been averaging 7.3 tackles and 110 sc ppg since round 8. Great pick up if you got him mid 400s - Sh00ter - 147 months ago • Junior boy averages 86 in SC when he has 3 or less tackles per match compared to 127 when he has 4 or more. He had 3 or less in his last four games (inc. h&a/finals). Is he being asked to curb the tackling enthusiasm as part of his refined running style or is there another explanation for the drop off in big games? - Sh00ter - 154 months ago • Superstar!! - Shanghan - 158 months ago • how did he get 100 in sc? - MQuimby - 161 months ago • Why'd you lie to us, Hodgey? - FanBooty - 162 months ago • Will be back against for Rd 8 against the Saints, according to Captain Hodge in the HS. - FanBooty - 162 months ago • come on Cyril have another 2 weeks off. - maanco - 162 months ago • Well it looks like 'delicious' will be spending some time on the sidelines. 2 week ban ? MM delicious. - wozman - 163 months ago • Any word from the MRP? - cambam2 - 163 months ago • WILL ABSOLUTELY EXPLODE THIS SEASON! SUPERCOACH KING! - Locinator - 163 months ago • Definitely 56. - jonnyhart - 164 months ago • @M.Brown#1 - I've consulted the magical 8 ball and it tells me "signs point to yes" - cptFantasy - 164 months ago • 56 - jonnyhart - 164 months ago • Ave over last 3 years goes 66, 76, 86. 96 this year??? - M.Brown#1 - 164 months ago • Whitecross, Osborne, Ladson all played the small forward role last year but to be fair we really only played with three forwards last year. Buddy, Rough and Whitecross were at the majority of times inside 50 while the rest ran around basically as high half forwards. He will be in the midfield alot this year no doubt - watty - 165 months ago • Hooper and Peterson are gone, so Cyril is still the only true small forward option at the club, unless Bruest or Duryea can step up or Bateman moves into the forward line. I think he's at least a season or two away from being a full time mid. - Mr Ploppy - 165 months ago • No. Buddy says he thinks he SHOULD play in the midfield. If you read what Clarkson says its pretty clear he will still be rotated through the forward line regularly too. Not saying he's not worth a punt because he's an outright star, but i doubt he will be playing as a designated midfielder. - MrRiosWan - 165 months ago • He's playing in the midfield this year. I wonder how that will go. - MQuimby - 165 months ago
