After dominating the SANFL last season for South Adelaide with 74 goals from 20 matches, including bags of six and five against the Adelaide seconds, Brett Eddy was picked up by Port Adelaide as a mature-aged rookie, and will look to follow the trail blazed by James Podsiadly.Eddy has been criticised for a lack of flexibility, since he plays full forward and nowhere else. With Port delisting Jay Schulz and John Butcher, however, he has a strong chance to be upgraded early and play plenty of games. A late pick is likely to be rewarded in the long term, especially if Charlie Dixon goes down. -
