    For the past two years, it has become obvious that Billy Stretch is not going to regain the wing spot he lost to players with more consistent output. A season-ending stress fracture in his toe last June didn't help.
    Stretch's contract runs out this year and he's going to struggle to earn another one at this rate, as midfield spots at Melbourne are now highly contested.
