The move from Port Adelaide to Gold Coast was good for Aaron Young's job security, as he played all 22 games last season starting deep in a pocket. It wasn't as good as it might have been for his scoring potential, because he didn't have much in the way of quality supply in a team not blessed with great disposal accuracy and second last for inside 50s. His average hovered around the forward baseline with a lot of variation. He is likely to miss round 1 and perhaps beyond after an ankle injury in the JLT.The departure of Tom J. Lynch means Young may face a situation similar to that he was in at the Power in 2016, where he was often isolated in the goalsquare filling in as a makeshift key forward in the absence of Charlie Dixon. He booted 37.25 that year, which would have been more than enough to win the 2018 Suns goalkicking. Then again, his average was the same with or without Lynch last season. Avoid if you can, especially since he will probably miss the start of the season. -
