The seemingly inexorable ascent of St Kilda up the ladder continued with their fourth win in a row, this time at the expense of a hapless Tigers side which looked lost without a workable structure. The Saints replaced the Tigers in the top eight, and it did not look like either side would pass each other on the ladder again this season.
