this is my first ever go at supercoach so Im open to all new ideas although this team looks good to me.

Ruck format is now only 3, Fanplanner not updated as yet & 11 on the Mid line.

Def, you need some stronger guys there Shaw, Hibberd, etc.
Mid, 1 or 2 Ablett, Pendles, Selwood,
Rucks, standard, remember Mick Malt  has said Krez will spend more time fwd so have a think.

First of all I'd look at improving the midfield, you need 1/2 super premo such as Ablett/Pendles/Rocky/Fyfe.
Also, the system has changed and its 3 bench mids and only 1 in the ruck.

Backs- I think this is the area that could use a little improvement, id go with a relaible premo like simpson or hibberd instead of Higgins and Rampe, Newnes is a good unique to have, I'd put another mid pricer maybe like Ibbotson instead of higgins or rampe. Rest of the backline is good, I like Viojo-Rainbow i think he will be a great player. Also McGuiness from the lions i think will have a big first year.

Mids- I think your mids are extremely strong but i would definitely be starting with Rocky/Ablett or Pendlebury. Wines, Crouch are great unique picks that should avg high numbers. Like the look of De Goey.

Rucks- Solid Rucks (Same as mine haha)

Forwards- Great forward line, cant really fault it, if you need cash maybe downgrade Franklin or Martin to Ziebell as he should average pretty high and is a lot cheaper

Hey mate, welcome aboard the great game!

Some good picks there and a staaaaaaaacked midfield! As others have mentioned the structure is a little different this year but basically you're swapping a rookie ruck for a rookie mid so no big dramas there.

Fwd line is great, very similar to my own so I would say that.
Rucks I think Kruzeberger will be a popular option but I think a better R1 could be worth a few more dollars - NicNat is my pick but Jacobs, Goldy, Maric could all be good choices
Your midline will get you ahead of the field to start with but I can't help but think your long term game will suffer. I don't see any of Cotchin, Mundy, KJack, DanHan, Wines, Crouch or Griff making top 10 mids so I think you need to reallocate some funds there, or you may find yourself with a team full of top 25 mids but lacking the real grunt of the top blokes.
Defense has really taken a hit to fund that midfield, I'm struggling to pick defenders myself but I think you need to pop a couple of keepers in there...

Basically looking at your team I think you'll need to make too many trades to get a top final side, the entire backline would need upgrades, both rucks, a couple of forwards and you'll have an awkward set of mids... downgrade a couple of mids now, upgrade a couple of mids and a couple of defenders with the cash, and see what it looks like.

Hi RS, welcome to a great site, a lot of it's other members (other than me ) regularly fill the higher placings in the SC ladder.
I like your defence, and it wouldn't be impossible for Newnes, Waters or Higgins to become keepers, and you save $'s with them.
With your midfield, how many of your selections do you want to finish with at seasons end ?? Most coaches try to pick as many keepers as possible to start off with, hence higher scores and less trades to fill their teams. Possibly downgrade one of them to a rookie like N Freeman and upgrade a few of the others. Otherwise you will have the Abletts, Pendlebury's, Fyfe's, Selwoods etc playing against you each week. And you need a regular champ or two that you can make captain each week for the double points.
The ruck and forward line, with ruck back up are good.
A bloody great start for a first team, best of luck mate and enjoy the game.   ;)

Welcome RS,  great site with very helpful contributors.

Lot to like about your first team,  fwds are good line up and balance.   Rucks will be a common format this year and you have cover for Kruz and Luey.  Providing they can all keep on the ground you may only need one trade a bye time.
Mids,   too many mid price premo's and no super prems.   You will miss out on cash generating rookies and have to compete against blokes with Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe and Rocky.   Suggest a 5/6 super prem/rookie strategy.

Def is probably hardest line this year and Malcecksi is overpriced.   Your line has as good a chance as any.  I personnaly like Jaensch and Hibberd.

Good looking team and structure
Backs would probably only have one of Newnes, Higgins or Rampe and two from Smith, Shaw or Hibberd.  Could also downgrade whitecross to cheaper rookie for cash.
Excellent Centre and Rucks, Strong Forwards.   If you need cash for Backs think of going different ruck strategy without Belly.

Defence definitely a risk... you'd want one or 2 of Shaw/Smith/Hibberd i think.
Midfield looking good there. Maybe Crouch could get downgraded to Newton/Biggs/Horlin-Smith/M.Wallis/Rich to help that defence.
Rucks good as you have cover. Love to see Bellchambers>Rookie and Krooz>Nnat. thats just me though.
Forwards have best of the best. Be interesting to see where dusty goes with his footy!
