Mid-Price strategy is pure luck, if you're lucky as you say it will run out one year.

Shiels
Savage
Gaff
Thomas
Hickey
Longer
Caddy
Wright
Merret
Grundy
Bhill

all flops

Caddy sucked me in, I'll admit that. I only started Shiels out of the rest of them, and he was only a flop because he got injured. Brad Hill wasn't a flop either. He was the perfect mid pricer. You might see that he raised his average from 59 to 75 and think it's no good, but in the first 7 rounds he averaged 97.8 and that's why you pick them, to trade them to a premo while other people are still waiting for their cows to fatten.

Who did you start then? Your team from last year what was it.

Round 1 mids were:

   7. Watson      MID    157
   8. Ablett    MID    140
   9. Beams    MID    136
   10. Deledio    MID    136
   11. Macrae    MID    113
   12. Tyson    MID    111
   13. Shiels    MID    108
   14. Polec    MID    107

It was the premos who screwed me, not the mid pricers! Same story on every line. JJK being the worst pick. Any time I had to trade a premo out due to injury (a lot), their replacement got injured more often than not the week I traded them in. Used my last trade to bring A. Walker into the team and sure enough he broke that week.

Yep, the carnage was laughable, almost to the point where I think it was a conspiracy.

Anyway, back on topic.

Duncan

Can't do it. His contested possession rate of 35.6% is too low. There's 9 or 10 things that are important and MD doesn't tick enough boxes and probably never will.

Money Shot

Ward (Brownlow medallist) 8)
Fyfe
Ablett
Pendles
Jelwood
Rocky
JPK
Heppell
Barlow
Beams
Libba

Sidebottom and Watson just miss out.
Sloane struggles to get 100.

Says the guy who reckons Durdin will step in to a top 4 team and play 15+ games as a KPP.

Swallow can average 110+ if he fixes a couple of things that are easily fixed. He ticks all the boxes. Everyone seems to think that things will be exactly the same as the year before. Some rise, some fall. There's absolutely no reason why Heppell and those types of players should outscore Swallow.

Said "wouldn't be surprised"... Lol.

Swallow will average 110+ and be a top 10 midfielder... One day. This year maybe. Don't see it yet.
What does he need to fix?

Nah only joking but I'm being serious in seeing him go backwards this year and average around 105 with contract talks over his head.
You obviously are going to be bias as I am with my blue boys hahaha
