Top 10 averages? Or top 10 best picks? Libba wasn't in the top 10 best averages but was a better pick than Sidebottom, Barlow and even JPK, some of which who made it into the top ten. Libba was the 7th highest scorer overall.

Libba: 22 games @ 110.4, 2428 points

Sidebottom: 19 games @ 113.2, 2150 points
Rookie: 3 games @ 70, 210 points
Total: 2360 @ 107.2 ppg

JPK: 20 games @ 113.9, 2278 points
Rookie: 2 games @ 70, 140 points
Total: 2418 @ 109.9

Libba has never missed a game due to injury.  Has an unheard of contested/uncontested possession rate of 6 to 4.6 which means he is untaggable. GUN, will challenge for a top 5 spot.

Are you starting him Meow?

Libba really struggled when Griff was out and Libba got more attention so not sure how you can say he is untaggable

As kb said, he struglled with Griff out and now that is permanent. He's a gun for sure but I think more like 11-20 than top 10, and certainly wont challenge for a top 5 spot - he needs to lift his average by something like 10ppg to do that imo, wont happen.

Nope. I've only got 3 premo mids and I have loaded my team with midpricers because I think people are being way too optimistic about the amount of playing rookies and when round 1 rolls around they'll be in for a rude surprise.

Inside mids who win their own ball are much harder to stop. We're going to get whooped most weeks, whether Libba has 30 touches or 20 touches so there will be times when teams don't bother with a tag, the same reason why GWS players rarely get tagged.

23.7 possessions per game isn't huge for a player who spends all their time in the middle. Can raise it to 27 and with his contested possession rate that will see him push 115-120. I think people forget that he is still only 22 and has room for improvement.

Libba has Melbourne twice  8). Won't be starting with him, however, as I think he will struggle a little with the tag.

RaisyDaisy

I started with Libba last year and had him all year. Yes he had a couple of down games which hurt but overall he was great

The only reason I am not starting him this year is because I'm going with Jobe instead due to his price and value

I think Macrae will get tagged before Libba. Teams will tag Libba occasionally, but I think 110-115 is still a shoe in for Libba so I'll be looking at him as an upgrade target
