Is this stucture ok? Is yours similar?

I have 10 players above 500k, 14 players below 200K and six players 200-500K. (that would equate to 10 keepers with a couple of maybes?)

My bye rounds are 8/12/10

I have 73,500 salary cap remaining.

I have gone guns and rookies on some lines, midpricers in others but think its the overall structure that is important rather than how strong/weak a particular line is (although perhaps you can enlighten me if you don't agree).

Any comments on this structure - or indeed examples of your structures would be helpful.

Your best bet is to just post your team in the Rate My Team section and get advice on it there

7/10/13 would be the perfect structure imo

Thanks RD - I didn't want the discussion to centre around the players I've chosen rather than the price bracket they are from.  I am aware that I have some fairly unique choices - and ones that would cop criticism from many angles - a lot for good reasons.  I would rather centre the discussion around what the optimum price structures for players would be, rather than people's opinions on particular players.

Your post has been helpful in reminding me that I can calculate the stuctures of people's teams in the "rate my Team" section and see how my structure matches up - and in fact what the most common structure is.  A little project to amuse me until the season starts perhaps!

Thanks fasttrack13 - by your reckoning I have a few too many premo's - which is why I'm finding the budget difficult to negotiate!

Oh OK then, sorry about that :)

In that case just having a look at my current team I have 9 players above 500k, 6 200-500k and the rest below 200k

9/11/10 is my current bye structure, and I have 13 keepers, plus Waters, Leuey and Bellchambers

Thanks RD - the same as Fasttrack!  Seems I need to drop a premium  :o

The main concern with byes though is to look at bye structures with your premiums/keepers.  A lot of teams I see have a sound bye structure but 90% of their Ropund 12 bye players are keepers. eg if you have 10 players with round 12 bye and 7 are your keepers it is not real good.

To give you an idea for my team I only have 7 players above $500k with another 6 $450 - 500k and consider all 13 keepers,  Just showing you that you may have keepers in this range eg Hibberd, Shaw and Swan are all under $500k and you would have them as keepers.

You would be looking at a structure that will give you at least 13 keepers.

My bye structure is 8/11/11 with a 3/5/5 bye structure for my 13 definite keepers

Spot on Ringo

I currently have 9/11/10 but so many rookies will be gone by then

In terms of players I see as keepers all year I actually have 5/6/3 (Leuey included in 5)

I dislike people putting their bye structures up like this.. I feel as though If you want a true reflection of how you will go, you should put up how many playing premiums you will have for each bye round.

If I did it your way I would have 4/7/4 for my byes but if I did it my way I have 10/8/10. Apples and oranges I know, but I think it gives you a) a better indication of your scoring ability across the byes and b) lets you know how many rookies/midpricers you need to make up the difference

One of the reasons I use both Felsty is I want to see how may of my premiums are playing each round of the bye as well.  may have a 8/11/11 structure which looks fine but if I have 7of the 11as round 12 premiums I am limited scoring wise in round 12.

Having plenty of round 12 premos only means that u should aim to upgrade to players who dont have that bye.

Before the 12 bye id want to have around 500k in the chest to do 3 upgrades of players who just had their r11 bye to cover for the dudes that are out in r12
