I'll be picking him in my starting team ;)

R.Griffen

I think you have to, as coaches we all tend to pick guys on a higher ceiling for obvious reasons. Going with that Dane Swan could walk about round 1 and score 150+ the coaches who won't have him will feel like deleting their team  :-X

Hagebear

Silly question!! It's Dane Swan! Derrrrr!!

AaronKirk

Would be a POD not to pick him, would be brave but a POD none the less/

However across AF, DT and SC he is a lock for me.

nrich102

Not picking him at the present moment.

powersuperkents

Can see him potentially average 110-115 tbh (also not much by Swan standards - 119-133ppg).

It would jeopardise your season not to start him. Dpp status and a discounted price... what's stopping anyone or causing them to reconsider...

Ricochet

Have to pick him imo. The potential for him to return premo numbers for you is there on a plate. The only thing that would put me off is any reports of niggles/setbacks in preseason

Hey I get all this and if he's fit he could hit back easily yes? Maybe!

What if his mental state is off?  Look at Tiger Woods, this happens! Who's to say his head is right in performing at giving the Magpies the best possible chance at winning finals?

I'm coming out and saying it! The pig is dead and has a lot of work to do to even be a shadow of his former self! Because between the ears,  winning football is not his top priority

Well he said publicly a few times that he was embarrasses by his 2014 standards and will be doing everything to get back to his best. So mentally I think he'll be fine personally

so could Travis Cloke (actually got 153 last year) - I guess he's a lock too

my reasoning behind NOT picking Swan is that his ceiling looks to have deserted him - last year he only topped 120 twice, and they were the 2 games near the ANZAC game
if you don't start with him, then I'd make him an early upgrade target

that said, I still think he'll improve on his current average, but only to early 100s (102), which makes him a definate lock as a FWD
if he was pure mid, pass
