Great team!
Can't really fault the structure!
I would sit on that until the nab cup'

Ringo

Nice Team Maggie - No real comments on the rookies.
Defence Sound with nice POD in Lumumba could go well at new club
Mids: Nice Structure - have not seen may teams playing Petracca over Brayshaw so just watch NAB cup.
Rucks Little risky but cover in forwards.
Forwards: Nice POD in Bennell.

Thanks for the help guys.  I can't help but play with my team though.  I've managed to get Ablett & Grey in without losing any keepers, though I got burned by Tom Mitchell last year so he makes me nervous.  Obviously the rookies are not set.

Def: B. Smith, M. Hibberd, H. Lumumba, B. Waters, B. Whitecross, J.Lever (D. Viojo-Rainbow, D McKenzie)
Mid: G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, R. Sloane, S. Sidebottom, C Petracca, J. Pickett, I. Heeney (A. Vandenberg, N.Freeman, N. Krakouer)
Ruc: M. Kruezer, M. Luenberger (M. Cox)
Fwd: R.. Grey, B Deledio, D. Swan, T. Mitchell, T. Bellchambers, J Hogan (J. Laverde, J. Steele)

defence is solid. mdifield the same... i reckon ward, kennedy, barlow would all be better than sidey and sloane.
rucks have cover so thats fine. id like to see gray to buddy/floggard. And then mitchell to ziebell or someone like that
geat team though i like the bennell pick originally

crowls

Think your first team was better.

Lumumba or Jaensch
Sidebottom for Cotchin
Sloane is good choice.
Grey just too much money first up.  grab latter after he comes down a bit. Trade down to Goddard or NRoo for later upgrade
Bennell more reliable than TMitch and good POD

Appreciate your feedback on my team

Good structure!
I don't like Lumumba this year at the moment as we don't know how we will be used. Think there are better options
Good midfield love the Sloane pick but not so much the Sidebottom and think there are many better options.
Rucks are risky but I am going with them too. (for now)
And I think in your forward line Gray and Mitchell would be close to the same price as Goddard and Franklin.

I would take a risk on a 500-550K player instead of Sidebottom which would leave you with enough cash to go Gray/Mitchell to Goddard/Franklin.

then I would go Lumumba to someone like Newnes, Thompson, Taylor or even cheaper with Seedsman, Ibbotson or Buckley  8)

So I have been playing with my structure and have now come up with 3 possible teams based on different structures and would love some assistance.  Before I go through them just a little bit of information, I class all players above $400k as keepers and I will bold them in my teams,  Mid pricers are classed as players below $400k with AFL experience and will be in italics in my teams and rookies are classed as below $250k with no previous AFL experience.  Also the rookies are not set, and I have deliberately gone with some more expensive starting rookies to give myself the flexibility of going with them if they emerge as the best options.

Team 1 - The strong defence
Def: B. Smith, H. Shaw, H. Taylor, J. Newnes, S. Colquoun, J. Lever ( E. Vickers-Willis, D. McKenzie)
Mid: G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J Selwood, C. Petracca, A. Brayshaw, I. Heeney, B. Boekhorst (N. Freeman, T. Dumont, D. Cavka)
Ruc: N. Naitanui, M. Leuenberger (M. Cox)
Fwd: R. Grey, B. Deledio, H. Bennell, D. Swan, T. Bellchambers, J. Hogan (J. Laverde, J. Steele)
Cash Left: $4k

Team 2 - The strong midfield with good bye structure
Def: B. Smith, S. Hurn, H. Taylor, B. Waters, B. Whitecross, J. Lever (D. McKenzie, D. Viojo-Rainbow)
Mid: G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, J Selwood, R. Sloane, S. Sidebottom, C. Petracca, I. Heeney, B. Boekhorst (A. Vandenberg, N. Freeman, D. Cavka)
Ruc: M. Kreuzer, M. Leuenberger (M. Cox)
Fwd: B. Deledio, J Bartel, H. Bennell, D Swan, T. Bellchambers, J. Hogan (J. Laverde, J. Steele)'
Cash Left: $600

Team 3 - Set and Forget rucks with strong DPP links
Def: H. Shaw, L. Hodge, H. Taylor, G Rohan, J Lever, N. Brown (M. Fuller, H. Goddard)
Mid: G Ablett, S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, C. Petracca, A. Brayshaw, I. Heeney, B. Boekhorst (N. Freeman, T. Dumont, D. McKenzie)
Ruc: S. Jacobs, S. Mumford (M Cox)
Fwd: B. Deledio, H. Bennell, D Swan, C. Wingard, T Bellchambers, J. Hogan (J. Finlayson, J. Steele)
Cash Left: $0

Which way should I go?

I prefer team 2 but think Sidebottom could be downgraded to a 500-550 player for extra cash to be used in the defence!
Taylor and Hurn to Shaw and Hibberd!
That's what I would do.

But team two for me just over team 1
Would love your thoughts on mine!

nas

Been posted a few times in rate the teams so MM maybe take this into consideration.
Like the Read pick for DPP as I have posted in a few threads represents better value than Cox with late outs.
Colq's will be back around late May / June & also has to gain match fitness.

Hi Nas, was this meant for me as I haven't selected Read in any of my  teams.  Thanks for the info about Colquoun.

Wake up Maggie I think I got something to say to you ! (Couldn't resist, one of my favorites.)

Team no 2 for me.
Some nice pods, Bartel, Bennell and Sidebottom.
I like the pick of Sidebottom, would have him myself if it wasn't for that damned round 12 bye.
Solid team. Good luck.

Thanks Creeker.  Word out of the Pies has been Sidebottom has been training the house down, and as a Pies supporter I'd expect him to take Beams' place in the midfield which bodes well for his scores.
