Nige

Just adopt the Nige strategy of six premo defenders. Hakuna matata, my friends.  ;)

Yaz is growing on me.  Averaged 88.8 taking out injury affected games.  Still only 24.  Bye friendly.

Downsides: plays for Carlton.

So the NAB is over, and I'm still none the wiser on who to start at D3  :'(

Simpson and Shaw are locked at D1&D2 and Lumumba gets D4

As for who gets D3, I feel like I've narrowed it down to the following

Gibson
Johnson
Fisher
Newnes

I've been Fisher's biggest advocate on this site and have had him locked forever, but I've always wanted him at D4, but with Goodes popping up now as a seemingly viable D5 option, and Harry O's new role and form too hard to pass on, for the first time I've had to think about actually letting him go.

I think that all 4 can average 90+ this year. Gibson has the biggest ceiling but has the lowest lows too. Newnes I feel should be comfy for 80-100 most weeks but has a low ceiling, while Johnson and Fisher so often score consistently in the 75-120 range.

Cant decide  :-[

If in doubt pick the onballer, Newnes is a good cheap option. Even Higgins is spending more time on the ball, could be a sneaky POD.

YoungGun

Personally I have got newnes in that D3 spot simply because he should consistently stay in the 80-100 range with midfield time.

Just by reading posts and following alot of your opinions, you will be shattered if you let Fisher go and he does well wouldnt you? if thats the case then I reckon keep him because he will be a great POD for you and also because he is a good pick, has previous years of premo scoring in the bank

He's also very injury prone, this is not the year to be picking defenders who can't stay on the park.

His previous years of premo scoring was when his side was playing finals and he played loose man in defence, he turns 33 this year I doubt he will have the same role considering the inexperience the saints have in the back half,  he has past his prime imo and has not played a full season since 2011....

RaisyDaisy

Played the last 7 games last year after returning from injury and averaged 92

Scoring points is not a concern for Fisher. His body is, but after everything I read about how good his body is travelling that was enough for me to pick him and save 50k over the others

Still believe he will play 20+ games and average 90+

We all have differing opinions :)

Big Mac

Not interested in someone like Hurn RD?

Was in my side 2 months ago, but after Waters retired and EMac got injured I just don't think his worth the gamble anymore

RaisyDaisy

Just had a look at Gibson's numbers last year

From what I can see, whenever he gets 18-20+ touches it's more or less a guarantee to score well

Only had poor scores when he got really low numbers, like 10-12 touches for an entire game, and with the inclusion of Frawley he may or may not be freed up more, but I think it's a safe bet he'll be getting more possessions

I like the look of my side with him at D3 instead of Newnes at D3. Just feels right

Pls stop talking about Gibbo RD.  He's a terrible pick.  Awful.  Bad. Don't do it.

I want him to be a POD okay!!! ::)

AaronKirk

Been on Gibbo since NAB 1 and now every barbie wants him in their teams.
