Is he showing value now?

He must of had a huge second half, perhaps a bit of confidence returning?

Was going to flip him to Birchall or Malceski but might hold now

I didn't watch the the game yesterday, but it seems odd that he could get 83sc from 11 touches when he has been struggling to get to 50 with 20 touches in recent weeks. It's not like his disposal efficiency was even that good yesterday.

It is seriously tempting to play Jake Lever over Smith in any case. He just seems to have the ability to ke getting the pill for whatever reason.

Yesterday he had 18 touches, 5 marks and 5 tackles.

I don't think he's turned a corner so to speak, but if he can get his price up a bit it'd be worth moving him on to someone more reliable.

Only 1 in 5 midpricers represent value and picking all the right ones is almost impossible

Picken, McDonald, Yeo, Roberton just to name a few in the backline. In the rucks Blicavs was a gem of a selection. Mids not so clear cut although an argument could be made that this was not the year to be picking super premos, those who started with Gaz, Selwood and JPK lost ground very early in the season and never recovered (I'm putting my hand up here). Conversely, Steven would have been a great pick at 450k.

Disagree with JPK and early form Bully, he was killing it up until Round 8, minus the blemish of 58. Had three poor weeks then has scored 5 consecutive tons until now. 12/16 tons, 9 being 110+ ain't bad.

Being a Steven owner also, have been quite disappointed with his output. Yes he was $450k but to average such high DT numbers (118+) and only average 107 in sc is quite poor. 7/16 below 100 and 5/7 under 95.

Is only averaging 102.4 taking out his huge score of 171 also, which tells you something (a lot).

To have my time again, my starting mids would see the blokes I began with in Fyfe, Danger, Pendles and then starting blokes like Beams, Priddis or Armitage. You'd be flying with that midfield.

For me it was a choice between Danger & JPK, ended up with JPK and he dropped down to 519k after 3 sub 100 scores, would have been the perfect upgrade target. Never really had the funds to grab Danger who's starting price was an absolute bargain. Reverse those two and my season starts to look much better. Steven was a great pick-up at 450k, nevermind the standard deviation, if you selected him at the start you would have made money and rivaled JPK's output. Overall my strategy of paying top dollar for the super premos cost me in the end, the only two who were justified were Fyfe & Pendles.

Anyhow, the season is over and I can start to just enjoy watching the football without stressing about supercoach, might be a different perspective, especially with Richmond games.

I might hijack this thread a bit since I don't want to make a new one but would you trade out Broadie Smith or Ivan Maric? Both have been very poor for my team this season so 1 of them has to go.

Possible replacements for Smith: Simmo, Hibbered, Tmac, Burgoyne, Ibbo, Howe or Hurn
Possible replacements for Maric: Jabos, Blicavs, Gawn, Martin

What to do fellas?

Depends how many trades you have. If you don't have 3+ then I would hold trades. I have both Smith and Maric and only 2 trades left after trading Ablett this week. I have faith in Smith averaging 80+ for the rest of the season. Maric is becoming more of a POD all the time and I believe he can turn it around. I am fairly happy to hold them both.

And funnily enough, I started with all those blokes you mentioned. Very surprised more didnt jump on Danger at the very start, knew he would score well and was super ecstatic not many people began with him. If there hadn't of been so many injuries you could almost half his current ownership, which sucks for me now but I'm happy I don't have to get him now at $650k+

Edit: Starting Premo mids were Ablett, Pendles, Danger, JPK, Steven

Surely Brodie Smith won't average 80+ from here on... last week was his first score over 80 since round 3

Geez faith in Brodie Smith to average 80+ is a bit misplaced sure
