He'll probably be priced similarly to Brett Goodes this year ;) Should get a start in everyone's team.

No chance. Players only get discounted if they are injured and play less than 7 games if I remember rightly. He's not going to get a discount for anything other than the fact he's been crap, I don't expect many to be picking him up unless he absolutely smokes the last few games of the year.

If he stays below 400k, he will be in my team at the start of next season. Especially if he shows anything in the back end of this season. And I really hope he does, since I am stuck with him.

I'll wait and see which players can be selected as defenders next year, speculating on midpricers this year has cost a lot of people so I for one will be extremely hesitant to do that again. Couple that with the chance of players like McVeigh or Boyd possibly available as defenders...

I hope not, to many Dpps make it boring, everyone picks the same payers. Forwards this year are boring, defenders are really interesting :) Would love to see bugger all fwd/mid Dpps next year, would mean guys like jjk and jroo get a look in.

+1
Though it would be good to see a few ruck/mids just to give blitz some company :)

Disagree. Because there are so many premo forwards this year it makes every team different. There are currently 17 fwds averaging over 95. Then there's guys like Buddy, DSmith, Gunston, ZIebell, Motlop all just under 95 as well. The more premo dpp's the more exciting it'll be.

Boyd will be a defender easily. And I feel like all Hawks players should receive DPP   ::)

Yeah I'm in this camp too. And to be honest, so much of it depends on timing and starting teams etc, the more players available across multiple positions, the more variation there's going to be in starting teams. If players like McVeigh and Boyd get defender DPP, averaging 102/105, then you've got more top end defenders. With a limited budget, you're not going to be able to pick both of them plus Heater down back, Ablett, Fyfe, Rocky, Danger in the midfield, and Gray, Dusty and Swan up front - something will have to give

Im with ya's, the more there is the more variations there are in teams. A good example is the pool of defenders we had this year which was slim, peoples backlines are very similar and to a slightly lesser extent our fwd lines are quite similar to and this is mainly due to lack of options. Coaches will naturally gravitate to the best options available and when you have a shallow pool to draw from team similarities are aplenty.

Tell that to the blokes who banked on the 'premiums' like Malceski, Selwood, Barlow, Minson, Watson, Lewis etc.
Also try telling it to the coaches who pre-empted the rise of Picken, TMac, Laird, Docherty, Yeo, Blicavs, Macmillan, Adams etc

This year if you went guns and rookies you'd be out of the top 50k pretty fast, and no chance of winning the thing.

Guns and rookies was the wrong tact this year.
