I think your missing a midfielder ...  :P
But you really need ruck cover.
And I think you should go a bit stronger in the forward line also!
How much cash do you have left?

Could you rate my team.

storeymjs

You are correct I am missing a mid.

Malcheski is to expensive for me so id turn him into Shaw
Carlisle to Belly and then use the money to upgrade Mitchell to a premium
Non the less good team just need cover!

crowls

Good first up team.
Need to look at ruck cover.
Malcheski to Shaw should get same points and save cash.
T Mitch needs to break out, probably an upgrade required mid season
Strong rookies will need reassessment during NAB
I am essendon supporter and  couldnt pick carlisle as he is to unreliable.   Consider Swan, Bennell

nperera95

imo, Swan is a must. We know what numbers he can produce, proven elite premo and dirt cheap. GET ON HIM!! :P

Ringo

Couple of comments and remember all comments on teams are personal views of contributors:

Malceski is too expensive and can not see him improving much at all.  Will be solid but worth considering a cheaper alternative.
You have Cox as R/F in Rucks so why not replace Carlisle with Bellchambers or other R/F and bring on another ruck to take full advantage will save a trade should injury occur.
Parker could be a nice POD for you if he increases output similar to last season. Do you think he can reach that 120 average?
Nice start though and obviously no comments on rookies at this stage.

storeymjs

Thanks for all of your comments. I have made some changes that you all suggested. I have downgraded Malceski to H. Shaw, and swapped Carlisle with Bellchambers as Ringo suggested, which has freed up enough cash for me to get Naitanui in the rucks. I am still playing around so I can try and fit Swan in!!

To Ringo I do think Parker can average 120+ as he averaged that over the last 10 rounds of this season.

Am up to my 3000 drafts or so and am becoming quite happy with where I am at (pending rookies of course). Would love people's thoughts on my current line up!!

I like everything except for Higgins. I would downgrade a rookie or two and then upgrade Higgins.

Some really good premium picks and a couple of good breakout contenders.

Gee really like this side!
Perhaps you are a little round 12 premo heavy?
I think Higgins is a good chance to finally reach his potential.
Tom Mitchell I am in his corner also happy to back him in for a big year just can't fit him in mine at the moment. Hopefully a lambert/krakouer gets a start round 1 so that you can chuck one in for membrey and have a mid forward swinger for when u swing Mitchell forward plus cash

How much cash left over ?

storeymjs

Only 21,700 left over.

Definitely RD 12 premo heavy. 16 in total, not just premos!!!!

I also like the pick of Mitchell as I believe he will break out this year, but I was trying to find a way to fit him in the forward line but just couldn't do it.

With regards to Higgins, I am nervous as I have been burnt before (who hasn't let's be honest!) but think that he will find a very good role in the Nth backline and increase his average to around 90.

storeymjs

With the Supercoach site now having opened, I have played around with my team a little more and come up with this:

There are a few things that will be of contention. Firstly, Tom Nicholls. I think he is a really solid choice if he can put his injury worries behind him. He has proven that he can score quite well and for that reason I think he is a better choice than Kruez or Luey but this could easily change.

Ricky Henderson is another interesting choice but one that I think can increase his average (and consequently his price). He most likely isn't going to become a premo so will need to be upgraded but I don't think there is anyone else at around that price range that is a much better option so will go with him for now.

I seem to have gone a few more expensive players in the mids and not sure if this is a good idea but it does look good to me. NVB will definitely make money and as a Swans supporter I think Biggs will do very well with the Bulldogs. I thought he was every chance to take over the position left by Malceski, but there you go!!!

Would love peoples thoughts and am happy to give my opinion on other peoples teams if you would like it :)

Cheers,

Money Shot

I can't really fault any picks in this team.
Not sure on Henderson but obviously could go bang.
Do you think Newman actually has a chance of playing?

Hoggyz_a_legend

Not a bad side, but it may be an idea to have a look at your bye structure. I counted 17 players with rnd 12 bye.
