With only one ruck bench spot, I think it will be critical to have an R3 that plays week in week out and averges something worthwhile should you need his score due to a late out and not being able to switch your fwd ruck for any reason?

I think Mason Cox would have a better chance of playing for the Pies than Wright has playing for GC, plus he is 80k cheaper
Atm I'm looking at Cox R3 and Belly fwd.
Does Cox actually have a chance of playing?
The pies don't have the big man depth that GC do, so he would have a better chance than wright

Haven't heard of any rookies playing games.

Considered Belly as R3, but for the extra 200k, that's up to 40ppg lost on your field. Would rather cop multiple donuts. Fitting in a F/R in your forward line seems to be the only way to go if you want cover, unless a rookie does somehow bob up.

To quote Shifter Sheehan from the National Draft coverage, he's a 200cm teenager, Gold Coast & SC fans will have to be patient, as he has serious talent but it won't happen tomorrow.  Like Darcy Moore from the pies, I wouldn't expect him  to get any more game time than Boyd got at GWS in 2014, more likely less depending on available depth.

Thanks guys and gals.

It would appear that two metre Peter will not be playing round 1 so Bellchambers it is.

I agree that 300K on the bench is not good, not sure which way I'll go yet!

This time of year it's always the end of the world for ruck rookies. Wait for the pre season games, one will bob up.

My plan team currently has cox/ryder, but I keep bobbing between Ryder/Bellchambers, and sometimes say bugger it and put Nakervis on the pine.
