I'm seeing heaps of teams with Tom Bellchambers, including my current draft. The thing is though, I just don't trust the guy but there are very limited R/F options which is obviously very important with just the one ruck bench.

I would be so much more comfortable with starting the very talented Peter Wright over Belly and pocketing the $115k cash then trading two metre Peter out once he has mooed enough.

So I pose the question which is mainly directed at Suns fans; Is there any chance of Wright making his debut in round 1?

Ringo

Unless Zac Smith, Tom Nicholls or Charlie Dixon are injured can not see Wright getting games early.

Bellchambers when fit will get games.
Wright is a gun apparently but not as good as Smith and the likes as he is still young.

I still think even as a forward only Belly is good value.

Cant see Wright getting games any time soon

Belly is priced at something like a mid 50's average. He will be the number one ruck and should be able to average at least 80ish so he will generate cash and provide important cover, then once his bye comes around he can be traded

Is it just me or is Belly sort of like Jack Ziebell? People have been picking him the last three years saying, "This is his year" "He's underpriced" "He can do better". Tbh I think He'll go down the same track this year and be a spud... again.

He has just been unlucky with injuries.

This is true about Belly to a point. With Ryder gone Belly should be the number 1 ruck, depending on the role which Giles plays, but if he stays fit he has to be strongly considered.

On Peter Wright, I would find it hard to see him play early, as Ringo said, with the likes of Smith, Dixon and Nicholls fit and available for Round 1.

He is a very good ruckman. People underrate that, at his time at Essendon he has always had to compete with Ryder so his hit out numbers had been damaged as a result. On a regular basis with Ryder out or playing full time forward Belly dominated and can easily achieve the 40+ hitouts in a game. This is his year and id think 90+ average at a minimum with a 100+ easily within reach

I think 80-90 is more likely as Giles will still be there.

Bellchambers. Priced at 50, can score 80. Can accumulate taps, can kick bags. Can fall apart at any given moment.

I'm feeling a bit like picking Sandi last year. Sometimes you just gotta say flower it.

Still not convinced on Belly. Better option than Wright though.

too moiter poiter ?...nah

R.Griffen

Wright has too many guys to play a deep lying forward. Day, Dixon, Lynch and they have too many ruckman to be just a ruckman Smith, Nicholls and Gorringe. Even if he plays part time ruck and mostly forward the Suns will pick Dixon anyway

I think Mason Cox would have a better chance of playing for the Pies than Wright has playing for GC, plus he is 80k cheaper
Atm I'm looking at Cox R3 and Belly fwd.

Does Cox actually have a chance of playing?
