Finally brought in FWD/RUC cover. Done Till NAB

DEF: Went with a 2 Gun DEFs who will avg 90+, HT can go 90+, Newnes can go 90+ with more MID time. Hopefully Waters gets back to his best. WhiteX hopefully be in Hawks 22.

MID: Pendles/Joelwood = Standard 120+. Barlow/Boak/Cotchin all to improve 5-10 points. gotta start with 5 Premiums. NVB sure to play, hoping 80ish?? for some quick coin.

RUC: Standard.

FWD: BJ/Swanny will be in most teams FWD line. NRoo for his fast starts and quick cash gain. Belly as RUC/FWD cover.

Defence has it's risks but if they pay off you will be getting a great head start with the money saved.

Mids look strong. Not so sure on Boak though. Has played 2 all Australian seasons in a row yet still only averaged low 100s. Not sure where he can find the extra 10ppg to be a worth while pick.

Rucks look good. If Mick loses the idea of wasting Kreuzer in the fwd line he will be back in my team.

Some interesting picks in the fwd line considering the amount of high end talent there this year. May be safer to get someone like lids, Martin, gray, boomer, buddy etc

DEF: I reckon my 4 premos will go 90+ each.
MID: Pendles with Perma-Captaincy (11 x 125+), I can really see M2-M5 all improving 5-10 points.
RUC: Set & Forget. hopefully 110+ for both
FWD: NRoo to continue his Early tear-up. avg's 110 over the first 6 rounds the last 3 years, and against the first 6 opponents over the last 3 years he's avg 109.7. quick points and money rise. Lids more consistent than Dusty. Buddy to continue his devastating 113.6 avg form after the bye. Swanny cheap for a bloke who can WILL go 105+

thought about having Belly as Ruck cover and realized its not worth it.
the bloke is avg at best and wont even be the #1 ruck @ the bombers.
I'd personally rather have Goldy who can avg 110+ and no need for trades unless injury hits. (you gonna have to trade out Belly)

15 Keepers from the start. F*CK YEAH  ;D

Great team with 15 keepers but really the "keepers" you have I'm not super confident in but that's just my opinion!
Great structure I agree with belly points!
Would love your thoughts on my team!

and thats cool, everyone has an opinion on players.
and lets be Honest here how many teams will finish with the top 10 players filling their field and bench??
most peoples teams have 4-6 out of the top 10 (last year i was lucky enough to have 6) and the rest are blokes who are in the 105-110.

so i loaded my team with players who i know should go 105-110+ in M2-M5 and even some of them will improve with a full preseason and more TOG % (Barlow/Boak)

NRoo isnt a keep, im hoping he tears it up quick again and i can upgrade him to BJ/Gray/Boomer by round 7.

most people in agreement that Newnes/walker will be top 10 DEFs.

IMO they are keepers.

Yeah that's fair enough!
And with 15 players that you intend to keep I don't think you can really run out of trades and I think you could have 5-6 trades at the end of the season to spare which you could trade them around anyways!
Good team can't really fault it!
Would love your thoughts on mine!

To not have any of Ablett, Rocky, Fyfe, Selwood, JPK or Watson to have that decent VC/C option in the mids is too much of a risk.

I like the Barlow and Boak picks. Will never start with Cotchin again (burned too many times there) and personally I'm unsure Parker can be a 110+ pure mid, i'd prefer to see what he does early in the season.

IMO one of Parker, Cotchin needs to become one of the premos stated above.

The only way to really do this is to drop Goldy or Nic Nat to Kreuz/Leuey and upgrade one of the mids.

but then probably need to bring in cover in the forwards. Probably then need to drop Nroo down to a lesser price premo and them upgrade one of F5-F8 to Bellchambers.

The mids have potential, but players like Ablett Rocky Fyfe Selly Ward Sloane Jpk Watson are guaranteed of good captain scores.

I'd downgrade 1 premo in any line, preferably walker to waters, and upgrade boak and barlow to Gaz and jpk/ward/sloane

fasttrack13

I agree with 15 keepers but...

Cotchin and Boak Have: Fyfe, Gaz, Rocky, JPK, ward who should score more and you can only fit 3...
Nroo will struggle to match: Martin, Goddard, Gray, Bennell and Dahlhaus aswell.

What I'm saying is your fast start will be cancelled out quickly and you'll fall behind because you don't have the best available scorers. You'd want trades left so you can sideways it.
Great team though Id love it if the season only went for 9/10 rounds ;)

#24
Barlow will be a TOP 10 MID.
since his Rnd 10 bye till the SC finals he went mental. avg 116.36
with no injuries his 78.7 TOG % should increase and so will his avg.

i did take your advice though, i D/G walker brang in Waters and changed the MIDS up a bit.
Walker/Cotchin/Boak/Parker to GAJ/Ward/Libba/Waters

GAJ/Ward/Libba/Barlow/Pendles IMO are all Top 10 MIDS.

add to that Nicnat 120.2 Avg without cox. WINNING

NO BELLY.

Big Mac

Looks really good keeper, but what's the plan if one of your rucks goes down?

I'd also prefer to have someone other than Libba in the mids (will get tagged now)

Money Shot

I love that team can't fault it.
With 2 keepers you can just trade them out if injured.

I could bang on about why that's not a good idea, but I'm sure you know the risks and have thought them through. Good luck

Fkkk, very nice keeper! Probably the best I have seen. Can't fault really, rumours around WhiteX not making it in the Hawks side. No belly = good :)) I like the midfield and the reasoning about it, all should be top 12 mids. Great team
