Looks really good keeper, but what's the plan if one of your rucks goes down?

Quote from: Money Shot on January 06, 2015, 09:17:57 AM
With 2 keepers you can just trade them out if injured.

I could bang on about why that's not a good idea, but I'm sure you know the risks and have thought them through. Good luck

Yeah I'm not saying it's a good idea as if they missed one game you'd either cop a donut or burn a trade.

Barlow will be a TOP 10 MID.
since his Rnd 10 bye till the SC finals he went mental. avg 116.36
with no injuries his 78.7 TOG % should increase and so will his avg.

i did take your advice though, i D/G walker brang in Waters and changed the MIDS up a bit.
Walker/Cotchin/Boak/Parker to GAJ/Ward/Libba/Waters

GAJ/Ward/Libba/Barlow/Pendles IMO are all Top 10 MIDS.

add to that Nicnat 120.2 Avg without cox. WINNING

NO BELLY.
much better looking team keeper.     i started with belly coverage but went goldy nicnat and trade if necessary.  valid strategy
mids looking good.
def is aproblem for everyone

Keeper27

small changes.
Took GAJ out, Pendles as perma-Captain, with Ward as my Vice due to his HUGE ceiling (went 120+ 11 times)
Brang in Hurn. has avg 87.5 the last 6 seasons. Take out his Injured 7 and he avg's 91.64  ;D and only went below 75 ONLY 4 times (minus the injured 7).

Barlow will be a TOP 10 MID.
since his Rnd 10 bye till the SC finals he went mental. avg 116.36
with no injuries his 78.7 TOG % should increase and so will his avg.
Boak is in the same boat as Barlow. his 79.4 % TOG will increase and so will his avg.
Danger will improve.

Taking a chance Swanny & TMitch.

Good Bye Structure.

DEF - 4 keepers as Newnes will explode this year.
MID - 5 Keepers (3 or 4 top 10 players)
RUC - 2 Keepers
FWD - 4 Keepers

15 KEEPERS  8)
I'm Happy.

but is it better than this??

fasttrack13

it looks a little weaker without gaz but all round i think its better

POD CENTRAL in the mids

meh, i think all 4 will be top 10.
BTW. changed shaw to hurn and Libba to Sloane.

4 DEF Keepers
5 MID Keepers
2 RUC Keepers
4 FWD Keepers

Mat0369

I think I trust Sloane more then Libba but I don't trust Hurn's body.

I was looking at Boak and then looked into his scores a little deeper. He scores sub 80 far to often which is why he didn't reach the super premium status. He has a big ceiling and stands up in big games but they are changing the way points are being weighted so that is making me even more hesitant to go anywhere near him

I don't trust Hurn's body.

thats fair enough.
Hurn has avg 87.5 the last 6 seasons. Take out his Injured 7 and he avg's 91.64  ;D and only went below 75 ONLY 4 times which is a minimum for DEFs (minus the injured 7)

here are some other popular players.
Simmo under 75 5 times.
Smith 5 times.
Jaensch 6 times
walker 4 times (14 games)
Eski 1 time (but i aint paying that much for him in a new team)

Hurn is a solid choice, i dont need him to score 100's. i'll be happy with 90ish, coz thats what i expect from a DEF premo.

BYES: 10/10/10

DEF: Starting with 3 Top 10s and a guy who's a 2nd tier but might slip into the top 10 (Newnes)
Smith to be spending more time in the MIDS, Birchall & Hurn SUPER consistent.
I like Hibberd but not starting with him coz of the whole ASADA issue, also Shaw/Smith are fighting for D1 spot.
Waters is a MUST in all teams. underpriced and could become a 2nd tier premo.

MID: I know, I know... NO GAZZA *gasp*
IMHO Me not having him in my team does not compromise anything in my squad.
Starting with 4 Top 10 players. Pendles is perma-Captain. Ward/Sloane/Barlow will go 115-120ish.
Swallow is a perfect 2nd tier candidate and is underpriced. IMO he will go 105ish.
NVB in crows best 22, will make some coin.

RUC: Set & Forget.
I'd deal with injuries as they come than have a spud like Belly anywhere near my team.
NO BELLY EVER

FWD: 3 possible Top 10s. Dusty to spend more time in the mids = more points.
Buddy to continue his devasting form after his bye last season, finally settled into that super squad.
Swanny underpriced, wont go back to 120+ avg of the last 5 seasons before last but will surely go 100+
1st tier for 2nd tier money. YES PLEASE. LOCKED.
TMitch. underpriced and IMO will go 90ish. good 2nd tier premo.

15 KEEPERS to start the season off strong

Players I'm Keeping An Eye On:
Bontempelli & Yeo.
Been reading from a lot of fans on other sites that it's more than likely that these guys will play mids.
i know fan opinions usually means sh!t, but we'll just see how it pans out.
If they get Midfield roles i think they'll jump 90+

Thoughts?? opinions?? feedback greatly appreciated.

I like that you have squeezed 15 premiums in and I have managed to do the same in my latest team but I really do think Gaz is a must have.

I would downgrade NVB, N Brown and Heeney to rookies priced $123,900 or less and then upgrade one of Sloane, Ward or Barlow to Gaz.

Do that and you will still have 15 keepers including Gaz.

Keeper27

I get that Gazza is a must but DG players who'll play to rookies who might not for the sake of bringing in gazza is a no for me at this moment.

I chose those rookies and cheap options on the likelihood that they will play come rnd 1.

Like I've said before I'd rather DG the more expensive options of NVB/Brown & Heeney than to DG a premo and ruin my structure to bring in rookies and cheapos who'll play.

Hope that made sense

Ringo

TBH can not see Heeny playing in round 1 so may save there.

Rather have him if he does instead of scrounging around for cash because you don't.
