Am I missing something? Have the rucks been reduced to 3, and added to the mids to make 11?

Dangggg. First I've heard of it. So it's for super coach and real dt and not fantasy then I suppose? Actually think its an awesome move! So much easier to get playing rook mid rather then Cheap ruck!

Few tweaks to the side. Will sit on this until the nab challenge comes around.

D: Simpson, Shaw, Hibberd, Ibbotson, Waters, Whitecross (Goddard, Dick)

M: Ablett, Pendles, Selwood, Ward, Van Berlo, Heeney, Laverde, Freeman (Neal-Bullen, Stretch, Lambert)

R: Goldstein, Naitanui (Cox)

F: Deledio, Goddard, Franklin, Swan, Clark, Hogan (Kommer, Krakouer)

$12,300

Have elected to bring Ibbotson in as a mid priced defensive option rather than Bellchambers up front.
The lack of defensive rookies as well as the new ruck rules and unknown of how Essendon will structure up with Giles and Belly has scared me off for now but will monitor that through the Nab.

Have brought Ward in for Watson. I think Ward will benefit from the addition of Griffen and the maturing midfield around him.
Watson about to turn 30 and more likely to slow down. Still not writing him off yet though.

Changes have made money a lot tighter but am open to trading Goldy to Maric or any of my forward premiums to Tom Mitchell if need be.

All rookies will obviously. E monitored through the nab challenge.

Give us your thoughts

Vinny

Love it man, it's actually almost identical to mine. I've got the same structure except I've gone a cheaper option up front and a premium down back to your Ibbotson.

Looks great to sit on for the NAB cup.

I think your midfield is too weak mate. You need 5 premo mids imo.

Thanks vin, yeah will still consider finding cash to upgrade Ibbotson but I do t like many of the defender premiums and if he can keep his shoulders together he can average 90+. Will wait and see what happens over the nab challenge.

Where would you downgrade to get one in though? Think it's more balanced with a 4 premo mid to start

I would look at downgrading Waters to a rookie, and Nic Nat to Leuy/Krooz. Does that give you enough to upgrade Heeney?

That would only give me like 400k

Flower. Idk what. Scott Selwood is 430k if you could find some money somewhere.

Nige

I like it for the most part quinny, not a huge fan of the Ibbo/Waters/WhiteX combo in the backline given their injury histories, obviously we're monitoring that but it's enough to scare me away.

I agree with nrich that you could maybe use another mid premo, but I think 4 will do.

Personally not going Goldy/NicNat or Leuey/Kreuz and all that like most, I'm backing in our boy Ivan along with my main man Shane Mumford, but I think your selections there are pretty justified.

Can't really fault the forward line except for the benchies, Kommer looking at a delayed start to the season and Krak needs to be elevated iirc, but yeah, NAB will be your friend there. Consider lads like Caleb Daniel.

I expect NicNat to out score Scott Selwood alone let alone downgrading elsewhere to get him in.
The only way I can see myself making a structural change is if there are a few more defensive rooks that pop up that I would downgrade Ibbotson to get and use the cash to upgrade the midfield with. Pretty comfortable with it for now.
Thanks for the feedback though!

Thanks Nige, Backline is definitely risky but i see Waters and Ibbo as potential keepers if they stay injury free.
Ibbo not locked in by any stretch though, would just like to see how he goes during the nab. The other 2 are cheap enough to take the risk on but again will wait and see through the nab.

Yeah definitely considering Maric myself. Would only downgrade Goldy to him though as I see NicNat as too good a value to pass up.

Forward rookies to be watched over nab. Got Kommer as a place holder but hoping for someone a little cheaper to pop up

I don't think that going in with 4 premium mids is too weak at all just as long as they are all guns and capable of going 120+ which I think all 4 that you have picked are capable of.

The other important thing is to spend the cash saved in the mids wisely, which I think you have also done.

I really like the team Quinny and the only thing I would think about is ditching Ibbo and bringing in Belly. I was into Ibbo early on but who knows where he will play under Lyon this year or whether his dodgy body will hold up. I think a RUC/FWD link is crucial and Belly has the potential to be a keeper. I think even if Giles plays alongside him, he will still be a good pick as long as he is the Bombers number 1 ruck. Hopefully his body holds out and he can play some consistent footy.
