Is Newton a must? I don't have him at the moment but I can't help to think that being at Melbourne and similarly priced he might be the Tyson of 2015.

Funny you say that, because I cant shake the feeling that he could be the Viv Michie of 2015

though the same RD

Hey guys quick question, are there any ruck rookies around? Could Toby Nankervis be a chance to play?

Yup, needs to get upgraded, but he looks to be in front of Derrickx and Nank, and played pretty well on the weekend.

only issue is (in sc at least) he is $40k more than the other 'rookie' rucks

I'd look at the GWS boys in Phillips, Downie, Lobb.

Does greenwood out open a little space for Freeman to fight for?

This.

I just can't see how all of these new players are going to fit into their best 22.

Salem, Lumumba, Vandenberg, possibly Toumpas, Newton, Garlett surely won't all be additions to their team?

Toumpas is the least likely, but their midfield is actually quite strong, and has some depth to it. Newton is the one I am using as a place holder atm to trade down if not named.

Well Vince is still coming back from injury and we're talking about one the bottom sides here. Newton is better than someone like Bail

The fixtures help us here though

THURSDAY: If Cripps doesn't get named or starts as sub then he becomes Newton
SATURDAY: If Newton doesn't get named or starts as sub then he becomes NVB
Then on Monday you still have Anderson/Cockatoo/Lang up your sleeve

Tylo

Why is there so much expectation for Cripps but no interest at all in Sheed? Similar type players but Sheed obviously has already got some games under his belt and WC are crying out for an inside mid to support Priddis so his JS is probably better.
