J steele had another 25+ touch game with 2 goals.

They only beat the lions reserves by 192. But he is knocking on the door.

Lobb would be too kicked 7
Steele better come in this week! Can't do much more in my opinion.

With the lions only have 6 listed players in that game... The opposition would of been woeful. 25 possessions counts for nothing against that...
This is true. Some of the payers playing for Lions were still only 16.

Exactly. Never seen a club have their list dismantled so bad!

Was only mentioning steele as his last 4 games have been

Two 30 plus touch games

And two 25-30 touch games with around 6-9 goals.

I know the game against lions doesn't count. But he's knocking on the door

Hes probably an injury or two away from a game. At the moment the blokes playing in the side are doing really well. Probably needs a midfielder to go down too.

With Michael Johnson out for 8-10 weeks now, Alex Pearce could get a good run as a defender option

Pearce has back bruising and is listed as "Test" on the AFL website.

The_Captain

What price is he listed at? And what did he score in his other games? No point bringing him in if he's gonna score 30s.

hogan2014

Laverde should debut this week. DPP like Steele so hopefully one is named at least.

Grufflez

Even if Steele is named i would be very cautious, the Giants are having a good year and have a decent run at the finals, it's probably the first year thus far where they won't be giving to many young blokes plenty of chances.

This weekend - Steel 28 touches, neal-bullen 35 touches

As has been mentioned in other threads should be ignored as they were playing a very under strength Brisbane Lion team who only had 6 listed players available with  top ups from Under 18 sides. In fact there were some 16 year olds playing.

hogan2014

Neal-Bullen plays for the Dees.
Will most likely be the next in line for a call up for the Dees midfield.

hogan2014

Also last week last years number 2 pick Kelly was the sub for GWS. They bat so deep. Surely hard for Steele to get a regular gig as much as I want him to.

sammy123

Too anyone who wants to know how reserve sides went and if certain rookies get named in best. The afl do an article every sunday night about all teams reserves sides

Neal Bullen must be everywhere to be playing 2 teams on the weekend.

Capper

So Boston, Glenn on the bubble and Hambling and Kavanaugh to be on the bubble next week.

Are there are others worth looking at?
