News from England today that Joe Cocker has succumbed to Cancer.

Great Talent with that unique gritty voice.

For those that are slightly younger here is the song that won him an oscar and grammy.  Great film as well.

Shows he still has it with this concert in Cologne last year.

Was like wow when I heard was/is a great singer, have seen him in concert as well and he was pretty good, but tbh I really think him lasting until 70yrs old is a feat in itself considering the amount of drugs and alcohol he consumed.

According to reports has been clean for quite a few years LF so that has helped and I seen him in concert as well.  He is great.
Hate to say I was around when Joh banned him from Qld as an undesireable influence in 197*

RIP Joe thanks for the many songs and memories they bring back.

Yeah true but he was pretty screwed from all of that stuff so if he didn't give it up he probably wouldn't have lasted so long

This bloke was my first concert - back in ;72, I think.

Festival Hall, Melbourne. Manhandled out of the country a couple of days later. Was at the peak of the Mad Dogs and Englishmen phase IIRC.

RIP Joe. A magic moment in a young life.
