I want to get rid of this spud LOLmumba so bad, but I don't have Rocky and really wanted to get him this week

I'm torn on what to do. I have 46k, so I can do Cripps to Rocky in 1 trade, but I cant upgrade LOLmumba unless I pass on Rocky and do a downgrade somewhere else

What do I do?

Brodie Smith is $200 cheaper than LOLmumba, so I could do Cripps to Rocky and LOLmumba to Smith, but is that worth it? Will Smith bounce back?

I feel like I might need to downgrade Tarrant to Dale then turn LOLmumba into a premo, and then I'll have enough cash to turn Cripps into Rocky next week, even though he will cost more

Surely I cant keep LOLmumba for another week?

Im trading out lumumba this week as he sucks. Bringing in simpson.

But hard to pass up on rocky.

Could always to the rocky trade. Then tarrant to dale.

Then next week ditch LOLmumba

Lolmumba is an undoubted spud but I will be holding until after rnd 11 and then getting in smith and houli/kade

Wait until next week then look at b.smith.

The difference between midprice defenders and good defenders isnt as wide a gap as premo mids vs rookie mids.

Loophole your defence until your fwds, rucks and mids are done unless desperate. Not sure harry O fits that case.

Been a while since I've updated this so thought I would give a little update of how things are going, and seek any suggestions from the FF community :)

Only had 17 on field this week, which included Gray and Dale as subs as well as Shiel, TMac and Jelwood all spudding but managed to move up overall from 532 to 480 so very happy to be inside the Top 500 now

Here's the team:

Shaw, TMac, Picken, Simpson, Murphy, LOLmumba (McKenzie, Pearce)

Fyfe, Pendles, Beams, JPK, Jelwood, Dangerfield, Shiel, Sloane (Boston, Kavanagh, Glenn)

Goldy, NicNat (Read)

Gray, Goddard, Dusty, Swan, Buddy, Bont (Dale, Lambert)

9 trades and about 65k left

I'm thinking that LOLmumba needs to go finaly, so McKenzie to Edwards and LOLmumba to Houli is looking likely this week

As soon as Rocky returns, I will sideways Jelwood to him, after those 3 trades I'd be left with 6 and a pretty solid 22

Thoughts?

I really want to get some depth on the bench too, so are there any bargains I should be looking at for cover?

Any other suggestions for this week?

Trades for this week look good.

For the future I'd try to upgrade a bench player to Rocky and keep Selwood as M9 if possible.

That would be ideal, but I just don't have the money yet as all of my rookies are still very cheap and will take several weeks to mature. I'm basically in a situation where I can downgrade McKenzie, then upgrade LOLmumba or Jelwood, meaning I keep the other, and then I just have to sit tight and hold on trades for a while allowing the rookies to make cash
