OK, so I didn't expect to get all of Simpson, Cripps and Saad back this week (which is awesome!) but now I am not sure about what trades to do

I can go ahead with downgrading Brown to Lever and upgrading Ox to Rocky via McKenzie, or I can downgrade Brown to Lever and upgrade Ox to Rance or Birchall, or do I just go for a double downgrade now?

Brown to Lever and Bellchambers to McInnes? Or just 1 trade for the week Brown to Lever?

I have no idea what to do  :-[

Actually, I wouldn't do Brown to Lever just as a single trade for the week - for someone who is D8 it's a waste of a trade just to net 98k and lose the JS of Brown

AaronKirk

If you go Ox to Rocky you would have to field one of Lever, McKenzie or Tosh in defense.

Krak, Miller or Cripps would have to come off the ground for Rocky.

The points gain is not worth that trade this week.

IMO double downgrade this week, then upgrade Ox do a premo defender and a mid to Rocky next week.

Got any $$ RD?

2.1k lol

Now I see why you were thinking about trading Oxley haha

I still don't think it's worth it though - As AK said you would have to field Lever/McKenzie/Tosh in defense which sounds like a horrible prospect

Bold move - but I reckon no trades this week. As you said it's pretty pointless to bring in Lever for Brown, and there's no other viable downgrade options this week.

RaisyDaisy

Might sound crazy, and I never even thought about it until now - but what about Ox to Lever and Miller to JPK?

Miller has been awesome no doubt, and can easily make another 50-60k over the next few weeks, but after Collingwood this week GC has Hawthorn, Sydney and Freo then the BYE

That's a brutal month for GC - maybe I dump Miller before he enters that month and bring in JPK who I have wanted the most for weeks now?

AaronKirk

Miller would be decent coverage over the byes man. I don't like it.

JPK has the same bye, so wont make a difference

JPK's points over the next month vs Millers points and missing out on 50k

I think JPK is the way to go

I've started a thread about it in P&T

Would be better to upgrade Brown, Tosh vandenberg or even TBC and keep Miller. Miller would IMO average above those others and then bring in JPK come round 13.

If you were to trade Miller out it would be better IMO to trade a round 11 mid in to help bye structure - Beams or Rocky.

Masterly inactivity this week RD.

Got another idea that I'd like to get some feedback on

At this stage I only have 6 rd11 players in my team, and because I cant decide who to get rid of out of Ox/Lumumba/Miller etc I've come up with this idea

Bellchambers to Lambert and Brown to Rocky via McKenzie

I get rid of Brown and McKenzie takes his place at D8 so that works beautifully, but I know the idea of bringing in Lambert seems a bit crazy, but because he is a Rd11 player and I only have 6 of them (would be 8 now with Rocky and Lambert) I would then have Rocky at M6 with Cripps and Miller on field, and my mid bench would be solid with Vanders and Krak plus I'd still have Clark as F7 cover, but by getting Lambert it wont effect my bye planning, and I can always swing Krak and Lambert around essentially giving me Vanders, Krak and Clark as cover for mid and fwd

I could go early on Baily Dale instead, but I think Lamberts DPP with Krak would be more useful than Dale who could get dropped soon and then he'd be stuck at F8 not making cash or providing cover

Ringo

Not a bad Idea RD - Still tossing up something similar only looking at Steele rather than Lambert,

As you say allows to swing Krak around as required,  Only downside is what happens when Krak reaches ceiling or do you propose holding him as long as possible?

Strange as it seems I also have 6 players with Round 6 Bye and looking at it at the moment.

RaisyDaisy

Yep Ringo I'd keep Krak as long as possible (Eg get rid of Vanders, Cripps, Clark, Miller etc before him) because his DPP ability to cover both md and fwd's with Lambert would be very useful

If someone like a Steele or anyone else with DPP bobs up then I could downgrade Krak to them too

I know it's sounds desperate to bring in Lambert, but I really think in my case it's actually an inspired move

RaisyDaisy

Think I might have finally settled on my trades

Bellchambers to Lambert and Ox to JPK via McKenzie

Leaves me with 46k, so next week I can do Cripps to Rocky in a single trade, and if Rocky doesn't look good enough I can downgrade Clark or Vanders to a rookie and upgrade Brown to a prem defender
