This time last year everyone was loving him. He is cheap and im wondering why I have not heard one word about him.

Ssshh haha

He's going to be elite one day, and that start might just be next year. Would watch his pre-season.

Still a little off it, Witts is number 1 at this stage

I sense him being a Dusty Martin-esque tease for the next 5 years.  Don't think he has it in him to back up the hype.... yet.

I see him being a gun tbh. This is as a Carlton supporter.

The word for Brodie Grundy is potato.

Will have a solid season in the VFL whist Witts is the number 1 ruck at the Pies.

This is 100% however bucks want to play 2 rucks and Witts is better in the air making him a better forward. I see both over 80 this year and will one of the best ruck duos for years to come. Nicnat/lycett probably the main one with similar potential.

If you pick any of them this year I'd go Witts though. #hasbulked

This will be his third year? Ruckmen take longer than that.

I think this time last year Grundy had come of a fantastic final 7 games, bursting onto the scene announcing himself as a future star, and then the Pies delisted Jolly, meaning our number 1 ruck slot was open, making him looking like good value.  What happened though was Grundy experienced a combination of second year blues and clubs putting more work into him, along with Witts who is a year older and had a year longer in the system go past him a little.

I'm a little biased but I think long term the ruck combination of Witts and Grundy has the potential to be one of the best in the league, but for now from an SC perspective, there is a little bit of uncertainty about job security and scoring potential for Grundy due to the presence of Witts and vice versa.

Witts/Grundy will be huge for Collingwood in future. But Grundy needs to do something exceptional to pull ahead of a bloke with age, experience and 7cm on him. Witts is huge. Space out 2cm with your fingers - that much shorter than Sandilands.

redfield

I think he'll average about 75 ppg this year but I'd love that to be a conservative guess. I'm not really considering him.

Grundy's athleticism is one of his biggest strengths though, something that he has over Witts IMO. Think he should play games next season, and the real thing he needs to work on is containing his aggression and competitiveness as he gives away too many frees against.
