Wouldn't trading outside of our groups defeat the purpose of drafting in groups a bit?

Absolutely not.......that was done with a time factor in mind.

For mine trading outside our own groups will help iron out any unavoidable inherent uneveness there might be between groups

I think there would still have to be some pretty strict trade rules and stuff and maybe like limited movements or something.

Maybe bring it in before season ending delistings.

l think trading would only make it better .......... and also give the opportunity for those in weaker groups to improve their playing squads

Slightly agree here with Nostra -

Oss has done a good job in trying to even out the groups.  However it may mean because of position in the draft especially those in the middle (I am in the middle but know from drafts that snake drafts tend to disadvantage those in the middle slightly but it is really the only fair draft) some teams may not have been able to draft the depth they require.

So I would suggest a minimum 1 week trading period with say a 2 trade cap of open trading of all teams. Trades must be one for one obviously.

I am for keeping it simple for our inaugural season.
Let's then see if any alterations are needed.

I'd actually be in favour of a higher limit, because sometimes it takes more than just a trade or 2 to achieve what you're after ........a more strategic approach is needed at times in order to build to the position you need to enact the trade you actually want. This is especially in the case where you don't have the cattle you need to get good trades done str8 away  ;)
