I wish him well, but how long will Beau's shoulder remain stable?  And how well will he score if he's trying to protect it?
I dunno, more and more, he's becoming a chance I don't want to take.

Beau is a no regardless now. Even if he is named round 1 I don't trust him. I was skeptical before the recent hiccup, but at his price with his JS and previous scoring output I had him in my side. Now I have a line through his name and will look at other options.

If he's named round one I'll definitely start him. A $267k player with Potential to become a keeper is worth the risk.
If he's injured early then he can be downgraded to the best performing player around his price. If he's injured later on then he will have made good cash. And If he's not injured then he is likely to become a keeper. I don't really think you can lose with him.

Unless he scores 65 in round 1 then breaks in the first minute of round 2 for a score of 0.

$267k for a reason. Priced for risk, and a rip off at that. Maybe $50k of that is the strapping tape holdng him together.

Well luckily it's not until after round 3 that the first price changes occur :P

At least waters has the courtesy that when he goes down he gets the job done, rather than being 2 weeks on 3 weeks off and toying with your emotions.

The ground you lose though.

Same with if he gets injured round 8 and scores 10. You'll be cursing him all weekend then will have to trade him out for 40k less than his average deserves. Better off avoiding these type of players completely.

That's assuming he gets injured in a first quater. There's no other player around that price that can average 90+
If it happened in round 8 he would have already made good money

Just too many "ifs", "buts", "maybes", "can he?" "can't he" "will he", "won't he", it's starting to sound like one of my wife's phone calls.  I think I'll live dangerously and leave Beau for medical science to work out. :)

I want to lock him in. The NAB if he plays is the test if he survives i will put him in

ronl

But will he even play in the NAB?  If he's that fragile at the moment they may opt not to risk him there, just get him fit at training as best they can and see how many games they can get out of him in the serious stuff.

We were saying the same thing about Sandi last preseason
