QuoteHe's carried the Achilles issue for at least two years and is no stranger to managing it during the summer months.

That I found interesting. I had him locked and loaded and the fact he was dealing with it prior to last year and still averaged well doesn't sway me. What worries me is if it finally snaps after lingering for so long

NickyBoy

I took him out for safety precautions. I still have a lot of money to bring him back in if things go well.

yeh he battled with it last year which is why he played forward more and only played the 18 games. His scores suffered initially as well, from round 3 to round 15.

I picked him based on him being fully fit again and expecting 105-110+. Now I think I'll wait to see how his foot goes, or a tagged affected few games to lower his price

Holz

was always behind martin goddard buddy and swan for me.

now its a no brainer. round 11 bye so the perfect guy to bring in round 12 or 13 for all the cheap forward players i'm loading up with.

Still to far out to make a rash decision like dumping now wait and see.

Have to agree with this too. I've got him in my team, but for some reason there has always been something in the back of my mind saying I shouldn't start him

I know it's easy for me to say that now that this news has come out, but I seriously have been thinking of not starting him prior to this

Will just wait and see for now, like everything else lol

AaronKirk

The most recent carnations of my team have not included Deledio. I don't think I will be taking the risk for now.

Buddy (now in my side  :o) Martin, Bennell and Swan my premo forwards at this stage.

Vinny

Dayze

Had lids over Martin but will just swap now.
Possibly even creates room for bennell for me.
Any concerns on Martin missing preseason aswell??

The thing is if it has been lingering for a couple years, the season before he played 22 games and averaged 103, so he has played with it for two seasons and averaged over 100. Th fact it has lingered for a couple of years is a huge red flag. I look at guys that have had similar issues and the first two that come to mind are Pav and Judd. Yes they are older but it eventually forced them to miss extended time. Leuenberger also went into a season with achillies issues and eventually had to go for surgery in round 1 or 2? He WAS one of my 3 forward forward locks, I will probably switch him to Martin and stick with my other two premiums in BJ and Buddy.

From memory around RD3 last year was when he first injured it. But not 100% on that

Dusty over Lids if "midfield martin" talk from dimma is true

The article says it flared then but he has carried it for at least two years. This is confusing me.....

You can lock it in that Dusty will have more midfield time.

Unsure whether this means permanent midfield. But I'll be pretty confident in picking Martin as a forward.
